Bruery 2016 RS/HS Allocations

Don't count on the fulfillment center helping out with late orders. This happened to me for the last allocation in December and they didn't respond to my numerous emails begging and pleading. In the past they have done it reluctantly but I guess they are cracking down. It's my own fault as they very clearly mentioned when the window was opened. It's a shame though, they used to do it and now they won't. On the bright side you'll probably get another chance at the beers at a higher price and lower number later in the year.

 

It's not any more expensive than were you to buy one direct from Miir. I'm passing because I put all of 0 fills in my growler last year and I don't need more Bruery-labeled water bottles, but I have been loving the double-wall vacuum sealed growlers in general.

 

Howler, growler whatever they are calling it. I really enjoy it, despite the price. It's better than any other brewery growler I have. Got a fill of Ruezue on Saturday, and it was still cold with carbonation on Sunday watching the Broncos win after sitting in my trunk overnight. I'm glad I choose it for the merchandise, and highly recommend it.

 

I had an issue (apparently) with my local cookies/profile, where it wouldn't let me past the credit card page, and didn't figure out it was my local machine until the next day. So I'm one of those that submitted an email and are waiting until tomorrow to find out if I can get at my Jan allocations. Gonna be pretty unhappy if I can't get my MW because of a stupid tech issue, especially when 1/22 was pretty much an arbitrary deadline.

 

For those who missed the deadline, I don't want to be a dick but you had over two weeks to pull the trigger. People are busy, I get it, but you couldn't find 10 minutes in that time to log in and buy your allocations? I also don't get people being mad they didn't get a reminder, you know there's a monthly allocation, why does the Bruery need to remind you? You get the email when they go on sale, that should be enough for you to know, remember, and purchase, and there's always a mid allocation email as a reminder anyway, so there's really no excuse if you wait until the last day, forget, then hope you can still come in after the period ended and buy everything. If you miss a credit card payment you pay a late fee, and they aren't sending out daily reminders to you at all. It's a monthly thing that you know you have, and there's a point when it's either due, or you're fucked.

Just my 2 cents. I'm sure there will be plenty of disagreement.

 

Its not an arbitrary date at all. Allotments always run for three weeks from the release, which is usually the first Monday of the month. It even says this in your welcome package (I think). That is how this will work every month.

That being said, if you have provided proof to them that there was an error, I've seen them do it in the past. Who knows what they will do now but if you can prove you tried then they might work with you.

 

Do we think we'll see new RS tulips this year with the new society logo?

 

I just got my 2016 leisure bag and am very happy with it. I like all the Bruery touches on it (like the zippers), but the label interior is pretty awesome.

 

We need to buy up the old ones, but I would assume they want to sell them to us.

 

Did any 2015 members get their "yearbook" for 2015 in the mail today? It was a nice surprise and a good read down memory lane of what we had last year. Way to step up and provide a completely unexpected small touch that makes a big difference toward being the best society there is.

 

I received it last week. Was impressed with it.

 

I got mine over the weekend. Was nice to see my face on page 7. Lol

I just thought it was a cool idea is all. I thought I also saw the back of my head in the anniversary party photo. Aside from that you didn't miss anything.

That's the glory about living outside California... You can use pretty much any container as a growler. I've filled up my RS growler with Caldera, Standing Stone, Deschutes, Crux, and Boneyard many times. At Caldera there's even a breakdown for how much it costs to fill different size mason jars.
