thanks for blasting me, but i didn't display any entitlement or say that it was the bruery's fault. (for the record, this month i've been busy at work, figuring out when to quit my job, coordinating references and paperwork for a new one, looking for apartments in a new city, and figuring out a long distance move. shit happens. yet, i get it. it's annoying for them and if they told me to pound sand, i would deal with it.)

the bruery was kind enough to allow me a one-time exception and order january allocations, which i super appreciate because this would be a totally shitty month to miss. i'm also reminded to be more careful about it next time.

I know almost nobody will care since this was not exactly a well-received beer, but I opened up a L'deracola (I was roughly recreating the mocktail they made at the Bruery a while back) a few weeks ago and it had a pretty strong off-flavor and odor of butyric acid. It was pretty infected but the base beer wasn't one of my favorites, so I wasn't really that upset.

It had been refrigerated for most of the time since I had picked it up. It maybe saw a bit of room temp right after I picked it up, though.

Having an excuse to drain pour a L'deracola would make me happy. I'm drinking my last bottle now and it tastes just as meh as the first.

that was nice of them. Now I guess you don't have anything to be mad about... Unless!!! Did you pick the wrong included merch???

I hope you don't take that as me being a dick, just making a joke

I would say they probably don't NEED to remind people but they may WANT to. After all, if somebody forgets, they may lose a sale....

I'm trying to figure out my flight plans for the Anniversary Party. What time does it normally start? Also, does anyone want to try to talk me out of flying to LA just for the Anniversary Party? I assume it's worth going to and as on out-of-state member that will probably only have one chance to visit this year, that seems like the time to do it, right?

I assume this is the "Government Warning: [1] according to the Surgeon General...", right?

If so, then yes! It's printed on the bottom of the growlers.

    Cheers,
    Matt O.

I'm going again for the 3rd year in a row. We usually fly into San Diego in Wednesday night, hit breweries there on Thursday/Friday then make our way to Bruery by Friday night. Saturday is party/Bruery. Fly home Sunday out of LAX. We always have a great time and there's always a lot of non-California society members there.

What is the rule on guests? Can we bring a single guest to the event or is it card carrying members only?

It's usually 4 tickets per HS member and 2 for RS. Everyone must enter with the member.

I don't think I've seen this answered yet so I apologize if I missed. Does anyone know if we get a second howler are we allowed to fill BOTH 2016 ones with RS/HS only beers at the tasting room?

She can put on a sweater. Seriously though, that's current temp in the Winter to save on the gas bill, Summer we hover around 68. Gas costs a lot more than electric for some reason in my area.

Why is the word infected just thrown around like nothing. Just because something doesn't age well doesn't make it automatically infected.....
