I thought it was solid (not amazing) and certainty crushable!! Pretty great session beer. Love the look of the cans. Great for stealth public drinkin:wink:

Eh, that's probably just full MSRP. Sounds like these guys should be about the same price as 12pks from SN, Lagunitas, Smuttynose, etc. Most full-price places charge about $17 for those, with discount places charging about $14.

Anyone know what Total Wine is charging? They've got a lot of 12pks at about $12, and they already had HU at $7.99/6pk...

Jeez, sorry that the brewery's very first canning run wasn't 100% perfect. How dare Jack's Abby deceive customers in this way?! The lack of dating on the box is clearly evidence of a larger, more sinister plot against the typical beer consumer! The brewery simply apologized in direct response to a customer concern on an online forum--this is not enough! I need a full press conference. Someone must be held accountable!

...I'm the OP and have not followed up....WOW...

Did I mention how much I like @JacksAbbyBrewing beer.

So you guys want an apology from @pavement714 ? Your kidding?

I've been burned so many times that why I made this post! It's been posted many times that HU drops off quick. Do a search. I should expect fresh LOCAL beer. I don't know @pavement714, but I bought that same Mass Rising that sucked. @emannths Last week, Costco (Waltham) were selling cases of HU from October.

I want @JacksAbbyBrewing to succeed ...but "whiney entitlement & kicking a puppy" directed to @pavement714..that's just too much.

I should expect fresh beer from all Mass Brewers. Wouldn't you guys?

I feel so sorry for starting this thread but this has been a problem that has been simmering for years for me. Let's let it go for now. Please no more negative comments.

I don't want an apology, and I can understand annoyance that the date is not on the outside of the box. What is idiotic is continuing to complain when the brewery responded, acknowledged having made a mistake, and indicated they would try to fix it. It's like he was looking for JA to grovel and offer him merchandise for the horrible inconvenience of having to consume beer that is a few weeks past its peak.

It wasn't the content of his message so much as it's histrionic tone that bothered me.

No I do not want an apology. That would make me as entitled and whiney as he/she. Just pointing out how ludicrous the response was. Calm down, it's just beer.

I love watching this thread devolve into the Officer Farva Dipus Burger scene from Super Troopers . . . .

Just correcting some info. Visited Costco (Waltham) today and all HU cases were dated 12/15/15.

I almost crapped myself when I saw a 12er of Finestkind for $9.99 last month up in NH. If JA goes to $9.99 per 12er I may need to line up a liver transplant donor.

Maybe someone can start a change.org petition to get Jacks Abby distributed to NH. We're always last to see distro for Mass/VT/ME beers. Most brewers just skip over NH - I wonder why?

Any progress on this front? I'd love to start buying HU cans when I'm at Total Wine, but I'd be a fool to do so without checking the date, especially at a place like TW.

Have you tried asking the store if you can see a can inside before purchasing?

We have a dater in house and will be doing our first trial run this week to get timings down. There is a chance it will take a couple runs to get it running smoothly but you will see the cases dated shortly.

Can anyone tell me when this kiwi rising was bottled?
Whoops guess I can't post a photo that's not web hosted.
    Ok it reads:
    #245=1652110215
It's a 500ml bottle. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I picked up a four pack of Excess cans on New Year's eve, but could not find a date. I thought they dated the cans. Anyone have insight?
