Enjoyed all 15 growlers I got of the first batch. The rest, not so much. Last bottling of Hopsmack reminded me of the OG King Sue almost 100%.

Did you get to try XHops Gold? Better than King Sue in my eyes.

I know King Sue was taproom only for the latter part of 2015, but does anyone know anything for 2016? If SOSUS hits distro I will be a happy camper!

How much of a heads up does TG usually give for releases like King Sue? I live about 3 hours away but would def. be willing to make the trip if I had a day or 2 to plan accordingly...

Anyone up for getting a charter bus from the Twin Cities for a trip to get King Sue?
I bet we could fill a bus!!!

I'm assuming they are brewing King Sue to bring down to Huna Day, will that leave much for the taproom?

Not sure they would broadcast it if they weren't going to have enough for the taproom. Also, with their core beers coming out of Florida, their specialties have been coming out in large mass.

I believe he said Pompei for Huna days, not King Sue. I'm pretty sure someone asked on Twitter.

Yes, I doubt they will bring 60 full-size kegs to Huna day

@bugzy3188 for the last batch, they dropped hints on Twitter like Mike did yesterday and they mentioned something a few other times leading up to bottling, but as always it was super cryptic. They basically posted on twitter the night before that they would be bottling it for the next day which was a Tuesday I think. It pretty much sold out that day. I think there were a few cases available the next day and then they surprised people that were there with both a Keg of King Sue and I think a Keg of MD if I recall. Best is to keep track of this forum and follow most of the Hop Patrol guys on twitter. You probably only get a 24 hour notice and you better be quick to react if you plan on making the trip.

What's the difference between red and blue label Sosus?

Are there any craft beer stores in the Twin Cities area that regularly carries any Toppling Goliath beers in stock? I've been on the lookout for them, but haven't had the fortune to find any yet.

Just about every craft beer store in the twin cities carries TG at this point. You haven't been looking very hard. I see Dorothy's, Gold Nugget, and 1492 everywhere I go. Pseudo Sue comes and goes, some places will have Light Speed, Pompeii, or Smoove Opferator.

Most do seem to have it now. I have a hard time finding fresh beer sometimes though. The stores local to me have at least 3 month old Dorothy, Gold Nugget, 1492, and Rover Truck.

At least IPA cans seem to stay fresher longer than bottles.
