If I'd known how scarce this one was going to be I would have bought a case at the CW18 party. Places used to get case upon case of them, but seems many are getting only a single case this year.

Most of that has been on that shelf for quite a while.

Thanks, I've definitely seen it a few places, but I guess I'm talking relative scarcity. I'm used to picking up an occasional 4pk of this for at least a month or two, but now it seems like I'll have to stock up now if I want it. I'm really getting tired of having to do "the hunt".

I sense lots of discontent between consumers and stores on this string lately. stores do what they need to do and we do what we need to do. No one forces anyone to do anything. You can only protest by not buying. If MGM is making a profit and selling their rares, they give precisely zero fucks if we think they gouge. I personally will NEVER shop st MGM no matter what. But if people keep buying rare beers at insane markup they will keep selling it. There's no such thing as bullshit in a free market. (Customer service excluded...again you have a choice).

That being said I'm pro Haskells, anti-MGM, meh on TW, and very pro local breweries.

Love your brewery, deal with your stores, and don't hate the system.

Toppling Goliath supply system baffles me. Some stores run out of their special releases right away while others have really old inventory. Flagship beer like pseudo has limited supply and limited distribution. It is like they entered the Minnesota market with no real plan.

Oh btw, MGM Chanhassen also had some 4-packs of CW BBBW in the cooler for those looking.

I wonder if they've had someone who's "into beer" start deciding how to sell some of the limited release stuff in recent years. Never used to be this way at their stores. At any rate, was happy to see it when stopping into F44 today and picked some up there.

I think people need to temper the their view of the beer world with the way most stores view it. Special or limited releases are exciting for us beer enthusiasts. But look at the value of of inventory of that one or two cases of whatever special release vs the value of their liquor, wine, and bmc inventory. Guess which ones pay the bills.

Don't fall into that trap. Some of the MGM stores are individually owned, & by some good people. Lumping them all together is a mistake.
