The abyss variants in Kentucky?

Rye Abyss is all over Lexington today. But at least $24 a bottle.

 

Still not in Louisville, AFAIK. Went to LB Springhurst earlier today, nothing.

 

Look at LBS tonight or tomorrow, I bet it shows up.

 

Apparently, some spots in Louisville have Rye already, but Liquor Barns are going to get it Tuesday. Supposedly, all of KY got 8 cases of Cognac, so no word on when that comes through.

 

Only seven cases of DBJ hit KY last year, so it'll be that hard to obtain. Off chance one ends up in the Bowling Green area.

 

LB made it sound like the Rye would be much more plentiful, but I'm not sure if that's an overall statement or more relative to the 8 cases of Cognac.

 

Something like one to Bowling Green, one to TPS, 3-4 to Louisville, and the rest to Lexington, though none hit a shelf if it did.

 

Wait a few years and it'll probably show up on a local cellar list.

 

Middletown LB guy said he thought they might get a keg of Rye to be tapped at a later date -- and wouldn't give me straight answer on if/when they're expecting bottles of either variant.

 

Rye apparently came and went at LB Middletown and Springhurst today and Tuesday, but I was able to track a bottle down at LBS today. Had about half a case left as of about 4:00.

 

supposedly cognac has come and gone at LB Springhurst and Old Town

 

Nobody at LB Beaumont knew about it this morning, and nobody at LB Hamburg knew about it earlier this week.

Trappe not having bottles out and visible doesn't mean Trappe doesn't have bottles.
