Bim Bam Boom was bottled a few days ago, and is up next after Swirl Stout, which should be hitting stores and draught towers all over Michigan, this week. Like Swirl, this is the first time BBB has been bottled/kegged for statewide distribution.

    Cheers!

Bim Bam Boom is a rich dark stout brewed with cocoa nibs, cayenne pepper, and orange. Initial flavors are of sweet citrus followed by a lively tingling of peppery spice. A finish complete with roasted cocoa and tart orange flavors leaves a lasting impression. 7.4% ABV 36 IBU

This is my kind of winter warmer! Wish I had one right now.

When the release schedule came out, this was one that I had circled. Sounds really interesting.
Love Knife getting pushed further back?

I'd like to apologize, folks- there has been a change, here, and I was unaware.

Love Knife is in fact slated to be after Swirl Stout, with Bim Bam Boom to follow. Love Knife has not been bottled, yet, but is to be soon and I will update, accordingly. Any questions, let me know.

No apologies necessary! Sure I speak for a lot of people when I say thank you for all of the info you pass along to us on the Shorts front. Bim Bam Boom, Love Knife, whatever, just keep'em coming.

This one has landed! Spotted (and purchased) at a GR area bottle shop yesterday.

Picked up a sixer. Looking forward to see how the heat is in this.

Just tried it last night - heat is barely noticeable. Personally I would've liked a little more.

Yeah, i agree. Tried it and only sense a tad of heat in the finish that lingers for a few seconds. Oh Well.

Kind of a relief to hear that. I like heat in food, not so much in drink. The Dragon's Milk with Chilis and Habanero Sculpin were too overpowering to enjoy. Mayan Mocha Stout was just about perfect.

Also glad to see the thread pop back up, forgot this was already posted in the excitement over Batch 5000.

Also, check out what's on tap at the pub, from Short's Facebook page:

Damn, this is complex and balanced, perfect beer to sit outside on a snowy MI day and sip. The orange really pops, the pepper is subdued, and the cocoa hangs in the background[IMG]

Cracked my first one the other night, holy cow this one is right where I like the heat, hinting not overpowering. Something I can sip more than one in an evening.
Short's has gotten the Stout game down.

Definitely. It is a shame I have significantly less interest in their hop forward offerings (except Goodnight Bodacious).

Wish I enjoyed this as much as others. I thought the flavors were too subtle. There was very nearly 0 heat, the orange added a tartness more than anything else, etc. Good stout base and all, but I thought it was a pretty run-of-the-mill stout.

Love the label a lot though.
