I am not sure if anybody else has or had this issue but when I picked up my orders on Valentine's Day, the bruery completely forgot to give me my 2 bottles of Black Tuesday that was part of the 2015 reserve membership. I picked up 3 boxes of beer that day ranging from 2015 orders to picking up the remaining allocations from the 2015 membership to 2016 orders and 2016 welcome package. to clarify on what I mean by completely forgot my 2 bottles of Black Tuesday is that they didn't even have those beers as part of my membership. They gave me 2 swans and a choc salty bbl and said that was it for my 2015 membership. when I got home I had to email them about this which they corrected but I thought it was weird. How do you forget my beers that are included with the membership? I would have never got those 2 bottles of Black Tuesday if I didn't mention this or just forgot about what beers are included in the membership. I went over all receipts with the employee prior to leaving and not one mentioned Black Tuesday. I guess it's my bad that I did not remember what beers are included with the membership or that I was not on my game that day and forgot. I hope this did not happen to anybody else.

That's a bummer that happened. That's why I liked it when they created orders for the included beers. That meant there was a paper trail. Now they just write it on the bottom of one of the receipts and if you don't catch it, there isn't much you can do.

    It hasn't, this still occurs.

To be clear, I learned after the first mistake to always bring my own list and double-check everything, and haven't walked out with a short order since.

And the attendants are always quick to correct the errors (and usually blame someone else for making them).

And when errors have been made when I've had bottles shipped, they have quickly sent the missing bottles at no extra shipping charge.

And I know that human error can always be a factor.

I'm just surprised that it has happened with most of my pickups over the last six years, not one out of 10 or something.

And forgetting to give you two $30 bottles isn't the same as forgetting to give you an extra side of ranch for your curly fries...

As for mistakes going both ways, a friend of mine got shipped a double order of 12 BTs a couple years ago. He emailed the Bruery and they told him to keep them.

I prefer either 1 ranch and 1 bbq, or else 1 bqq and 1 hot sauce.

Then why are they just writing the stuff at the bottom of existing orders? I see it all the time now where they just write in with a pen + 2 choc bbl or whatever. I could be wrong but I swear that's what I've seen.

They recently started doing the separate order thing. Anything prior to November was written in as a note on one of the orders you were already picking up. I prefer this new method. It was always too easy to forget that you were owed some of the included beers.

No idea, I see all of mine as orders and they are then printed receipts when I go in to pick up.

When I picked up last weekend, the two bottles they forgot were the two that someone had handwritten at the bottom of one of the sheets.

I had two people pick up nearly 80 bottles this past Friday. Fingers crossed like hell now they're correct.

I've had issues where I've picked up beers for people as a trustee and they forgot to include beers or gave me the wrong ones. I shot them an email and without questions they were willing to remedy so that was great. I also cross check the bottles to the receipts as I'm packing them so if anything doesn't add up I notice before they get dropped at FedEx. I've never had the wrong beers reach the I've trusteed for, but I want to credit that to my good attention to detail.

lol, three cases is like the minimum that I ship and I've only had one problem so far.

They gave me the wrong bottle breakout once. I got 2 M9s and 3 Chrono 6s intead of one and four. I let them know what happened and that the bottle was now out of state which complicates a return. I told them I'd be more than happy to pay for the bottle or since they were the same price just call it good. The person I dealt with was apologetic and told some other folks CC'd on the e-mail to send me a Chrono six. I asked them if they could put a note in my account and I would just account for it the next time I shipped so I could at least pay for shipping.

Before they started adding orders for the included bottles I used to let them know that the shipper space was purchased to account for those bottles. Never had any issues with that.

While they Bruery should be doing their best to make sure orders are fulfilled accurately, IMO customers should also be confirming they have received the correct order. When I send my pick up emails to the Bruery I include which orders I want to pick up, then run through the check list with the person filling my order at the Society desk.

They did once pack up my ordes twice and I could have walked out with double allotments, but the beerkarma gods wouldn't have been happy. This was years ago though and they track things much betters now.

Since I live out of state and split my hoarders membership with someone now, I have an excel sheet I keep as I buy the bottles so when I go to pick them up I can print it out and check them off as I sign. I mean, 8 boxes of beer is a lot of beer, and the idea of a beer or two missing happens, especially if it's a single beer.

Everyone who has had a job that works with the public should automatically know that things happen, especially when you get comfortable or it's late in the day.

This is pretty much what I do as well. If I'm coming to LA to pick up my beers, I'm going to make sure I get everything I ordered. Nothing bums you out more than realizing a recent order that should have been included wasn't and is still sitting at the Bruery, which doubly sucks because then you have to factor how you're getting that back to you the next time. Bringing a list and checking it while I'm there gives me piece of mind, and even if it takes me longer to get my # of cases out of there, so be it. Worth it to me.

This happened to me recently. The first RS package this year was shipped with a few other bottles, but was never checked off as delivered in their system, there was a note that it was delivered with the other stuff, but it didn't get processed as delivered. They were ready to give me another set of bottles, but BeerKarma.

Someone please tell me Chocolate rain will not be coming on Tuesday. This is already becoming painful. How do you Hoarders do it?!

Two stupid years followed by much moderation. I buy far less Bruery beer as a Hoarder than I did as a RS member.
