Only when I need to make room in the fridge... I'm alternating between 22s and 750s right now until I get all my 22s cold. Then I'll go back to focusing on 750s.

I'm actually buying less. I held off on maxing sourrento and earlier I stopped at only one bottle of TrIPLe but I should probably cut back more to get my drinking rate higher than how much I have coming in.

I can see them releasing them like BT, using a lottery so it's still publicly released but not super easy to get.

And from the flip side, these are amazing beers people usually trade or pay more than they should for. I can name a bunch of beers I wish a brewery would release more of so I could actually have them, but because of beer clubs/distro/small production it just doesn't happen.

I'm not about flooding California with exclusive beers, but both CR and MW have been around for a while now, why not let some extra people enjoy it?

    No mules though.

As a new reserve member, I'm perfectly fine with more people getting to try CR, GM, and MW. As long as they make society exclusives for us every now and then, I'll be happy.

On top of buying exclusive beers, I really like that I can have my beers held for me in a climate controlled warehouse for months at a time. Part of the money I spend on the societies goes toward that, and I love that perk.

filmishmish is now available on the online store for anyone to get, I don't see a stated limit. Good news for filmishmish fans.

As another HS member who has had to taper down purchases due to bulging cellar, I think more and more public bottles is going to have to become the norm if they want to keep growing and members aren't buying out batches. My only fear is that their love of experimentation can have blowback for member only bottles if they aren't exceptional. If the public starts getting all the perennial favorites (MW, Filmishmish, etc) and members are given Juggling Walrus, Salty BBLs, and Roble Blanco I think membership will tank. It is my hope that they start making test batches for proof of concept before making RS/HS scale batches and hoping they turn out ok. Obviously this isn't always possible w/ things that need to barrel age for 12 months but something needs to change.

I agree with the general idea that the value of a Society membership drops when access opens up. It depends on why you love being a member, for me - exclusive access, events, discount.

I would also say beefing up PS and opening previously society-only beers up means Familie Rue MUST step up their game in terms of new, GOOD beer. Agree with above, it can't be meh-beers are for Society, and the flagship beers are for anyone.

I just tried to order 5000 bottles of Film, you know, so that I'd be set for life, and the site capped me at 120. What gives?

Drinking a Floyd D'rue tonight. It's surprisingly decent compared to how it was fresh

I really had no issue with either of those fff/bruery collabs. Sure one wasn't everyone's cup of tea, but having killed my last bottle a few months ago, they never went south.

Had a Les Ronces last night. Incredible. I absolutely loved every drop of it. Having a Ukulele now, and, hmm. Interesting? Less sour than I had expected, and definitely a tickle of lingering heat that never goes away. Cool concept but I expect to let the others sit and mellow out a bit.

Beginning to wish I was able to triple dip on Les Ronces allocations....

IMHO, you have to approach the Ukulele as it was "designed"; as a cocktail. I don't think it'll ever be a beer that you can drink a big glass of. I'm tempted to try serving it over ice come summer ...

Agreed. I'm kind of feeling stupid for opening it alone. I'll get through it but I hate to choke down the whole 750. Imperial Cabinet is next so I at least have something better to look forward to.

I won't say Ukulele is bad, it's just unlike anything else out there. A 'hot' sour is new concept and the heat is way more spice than warmth, making it taste less of a sour and more of an off beer. Not off enough to dislike though. I'm conflicted.

L'Dercola, that was just bad. My remaining two will make excellent party favors to leave behind somewhere.

I actually really liked Ukulele; great balance between booze, sweetness, heat. It's just that - much like a cocktail - I don't want to drink 8 ounces or more. So the package size becomes an issue.

Hmm... maybe this summer I'll marinade some chicken in Ukulele then have some with said grilled chicken.

Imperial Or Xata. Or should I say massive over the top vanilla bomb. Jesus I've never tasted so much vanilla in a beer. This is insane.
