don't know if anyone touched on the matter yet (or if anyone cares), but Whole foods Wexford has a bunch of Sunday Morning Stout. I grabbed a couple four packs, I hear it is very tasty.

seems very bourbon forward.. didn't get much of any other flavors if there was supposed to be any.

does it age off? first year I've had.

last year was bourbon forward, this years is pretty mild but still tasty. from what I've been told this year is still a touch less boozy than an aged one.

I did a side by side of this year's and last year's. The coffee nose fades a ton, and the coffee flavor is more of an espresso than this year's cup of joe flavor. I think that has to do with age more than anything. Age leads to a more balanced expression of all the flavors on my palate. I still enjoy it both fresh and aged, and at ~15 a four pack don't think it's unreasonable to set aside 2 or more for the coming year(s).

not trying to extrapolate your personal circumstance necessarily, but your post got me thinking.
For a "beer enthusiast", moving quickly through a beer section probably carries a world of time difference compared to 75% of the civilian population moving quicky through a beer section.

Yeah. I went down and had some. It was really delicious! The cinnamon and vanilla added to the firkin really transformed the beer into a delicious dessert like thing. Really reminded me of an apple pie.
