I entered through the back patio today and saw a lot of folks drinking until the rain came.

    Cheers.....

3 weeks I think is the longest I've gone (was with a Nelson growler).

    Tasted fantastic.

Question about HB - how long will this stay fresh if I keep the growler in the fridge, unopened?I might get an extra for a friend's birthday in mid-October.

    Mid October would be bad.

Alpine doesn't purge nor bottom fill, and uses screw tops. Near as bad as it gets.

I've gone between two and three weeks with no discernible fall off in freshness and taste. I keep them very cold in the back of my fridge.

    Cheers.....

I would not even think of holding this until mid October, especially HB which is so frickin great super fresh. Two to three weeks is as long as I would sit on it.

    Cheers......

Gonna reup whatever I've drank between last night and Friday on Sat. morning, assuming it's still on. Going to force myself to sit on at least 2 for a week or so.

Alpine needs to expand. They can't even hold their "mainline" for sale all the time. Limited releases? Forget about it. Get there day 1 or you're done.

If I was loaded I'd probably consider investing in Alpine and helping them expand.

Actually you make a good point. As it stands now the majority of people wanting for just a single growler will not be able to. I'm not bagging on those who are already going back for their 12th growlers, actually I'm just jealous that my career doesn't allow me to be able to it !! But if Pat really wants to spread the love he should install a system that could make the beer last just a wee bit longer, reduce the number of growlers, six is pretty generous if you ask me. Maybe reduce the amount your allowed to buy the next day if you have already maxed out your allotment on the first day ? I don't know it's just a thought. I was really lucky that I was in SD working yesterday and got the heads up. My guess is that HB will not last until Friday if folks are refilling a half dozen growlers a day. Your right though that expansion MAY eleviate some of these problems but the bottom line is that Pat and Sean are the hottest fucking beer commodity in So Cal right now and are making the best beer by a long shot and EVERYONE wants it. Not a bad problem from Alpines standpoint I guess.

    Cheers.....
