I really don't think many folks are refilling 6 growlers a day.

It doesn't matter if it's three, four or six, that's not my point. It's making the beer available to a wider audience in the local market. And trust me man, there are people reloading at max allotments. Good for them while it lasts. To bad we couldn't have had a HB together yesterday.

    Cheers......

Yeah man definitely. We should at some point!

I agree with a lot of what you're saying. Alpine is definitely getting bigger every release, it seems. I think for me the key is never to take it for granted (and to go up as often as I can!) The trip from OB to Alpine has become almost commute-like in its familiarity.

Concur, though my drive is just a little bit longer. I try to get to Alpine every other week in a perfect world while in SD on biz to keep bottles in my fridge and fill the odd growler if needed.

    Cheers....

It also helps that even when there's no special release on for fills I'm perfectly satisfied/elated to get fresh Nelson and Pure Hop.

Nothing like a nice fresh Nelson or Pure at the end of a long day !! How can that suck ?

Heh, when it comes to HB, Brian does the opposite of hoarding. I imagine he dreams at night of having a gavage that could link directly to those kegs.

Why do you think this is?

I understand and appreciate BAs alerting the community about recent/future releases at Alpine, but posting a new thread nearly every day about every new beer they brew isn't at all helping slow down this trend.

There is actual truth in that statement.

And if not posted here then all you need to do is go onto their facebook page and they'll be glad to let us all known when the next big release will be. It's just not here. It's on every craft beer board I have seen and FB. There are actually some bottle shops that post the releases on their facebook page as well. Really the bottom line is craft beer has jumped the shark and everyone wants to play now, isn't that really the situation we are dealing with, it's mainstream and Johnny and Jill Lunchbucket read about it in every major newspaper, magazine, and see craft beer lists in addition to wine lists at great restaurants and they all want their slice of the pie. That's the reality folks.

    Cheers.....

Again, I am going to buy enough of it so I can set up an IV from work to flow through me all day long

Hoppy Birthday is my favorite beer hands down. It is the one beer I could drink the rest of my life while drinking nothing else. I do not get crazy growlers of everything else from Alpine. I got two of Bad Boy but that is probably it. Same with the others (Expo, O'Briens, Tuatara). A few months back when KBS was at Toronado I was drinking HB (Sage is my witness).

    Liquid Magic...

Alpine isn't going to get any less popular and their beers aren't going to be less in demand if our tiny forum community talks less about releases.

I like the wealth of Alpine enthusiasm here and like knowing exactly what's on and when. Admittedly it should probably be kept to one thread (like this one).

I agree with you. Though I would like to see Alpine update their website like Russian River does. It is not that hard and would cost next to nothing to have someone do it for them.

I went at lunch. While HB is great, I wish they would release it seperate. No chance of me buying a HB growler when BB is up!

It would be their biggest selling beer. It would become the west coast Zombie Dust, which IMHO is a compliment. I think they should bottle this when they expand, I also believe they should bottle Bad Boy when they expand, I makes perfect business sense in recapturing start up/ expansion costs.

    Cheers.....
