I don't really like Confession. I love wine but this tastes more like grape juice than a beer / wine hybrid. I take it that's due to the Riesling grapes. It tastes to more as a pretty low quality white wine than anything exciting.

Obviously, I'm in the minority but I thought I'd throw one man's opinion out there.

I gotta throw one of my 2015 Confessions in the fridge and try it out before committing to 3 bottles of the 2016 version. Would be nice to have a beer that I don't have to max out on because I'm maxing out all three other beers for sure!

is the seal damaged? MiiR will help if the seal is damaged in some way with a replacement and/or a cap. I had issues with my lid not clamping shut, but no leaks yet.

That's a bummer. I agree with you that I thought it would be sealed like a tank. I was actually more worried about the Rare Barrel growler, but that worked great.

Nope. Seal looks perfect. I'll probably see if The Bruery will replace it first.

I shipped one full up north about a month ago and it also leaked a couple ounces out in the bag and the beer was flat. Mind you this was from SoCal to NorCal so the travelling time wasn't even that bad.

I was saved by the fact that I hate blueberries.

Maybe I missed it, I thought bottles below $30 weren't being waxed? I'm not complaining but a little confusing, considering Black tuesday is the same price point and no longer being waxed but blue bbls is, as well as Chronology 6 that was less $?

Anyways, man my wallet hurts and I see no relief in sight :astonished:.

Please, no more waxing discussions. It really doesn't matter one way or the other.

True, just felt odd it's going against what they "stated" as far as I know.

They probably chose the $30 price point because they were suddenly making more beers in that category and hand waxing stuff gets expensive. I can see them waxing something under $30 if it is a lower production beer.

See below. Thought I remembered Matt covering this. Chronology is waxed to be consistent across the series. BBLS is waxed since there isn't a capsule device at Terreux.

But if we restricted ourselves to only discussing things that matter, there wouldn't be much reason for this forum to exist!

Blue Bbls was my favorite beer from this month's allocation. Tons of blueberry flavor

White Mocha was really good. Not a ton of bourbon flavor but could definitely taste the coffee and chocolate

Oude Tart with Cherry- didn't taste much cherry at all

Confession- I think 2015 was better. This year wasn't as sweet

Is it different grapes each time in confession?

Nope. Made with Fess Parker's Riesling grapes. I'm sure there is change from year to year. I still liked Confession 2016, but thought that 2015 was sweeter and better overall
