Anyone that says this has not had enough of MT's hoppy brews. I'd maybe agree that Beachwood and Noble are a cut above, but I take umbrage with the number of "greater than" symbols. Also, MT is better than ES, and I love ES

I agree with this sentiment completely. Also, as far as how attainable MT's hoppy releases are compared to bombers of Noble and Beachwood, they can't be beat.

The two Beachwood IPAs I had didn't seem remarkable, so either I need to try them again, I didn't have the good ones, or it's like Societe where I just disagree with the plethora of rave reviews.

Other than the Citra pale, which I thought was solid but not amazing, I have no desire to revisit the two El Segundo IPAs I've had and I couldn't stand the TIPA. So I'm surprised that place is being compared to Noble.

Also blows my mind Pizza Port would ever be mentioned here. No. Just no.

Goes to show how different folks' palettes can be. These are all great breweries.

Beachwood > Noble > El Segundo > Pizza Port > Bottle Logic.......?

Pizza Port has only what? 4 or 5 cans? But Kook is killer when fresh & Swamis is great too. Plus they come in 16oz 6 packs at a great $! Deal.
Noble b4 ESBC because they have put out so many awesome IPAs (but limited). And don't forget their unique beers...ex Naughty Sauce, Man's Milk, etc.
ESBC you can buy great bottles year round and the list keeps growing every year.
Beachwood BBQ & Brewing because....well.....they are expanding and just keep getting better. And only a few blocks (now) from home.
Bottle Logic has a few good IPAs but they need to show me more b4 I can include them on my list.
Three Weavers has a few good IPAs going for them. But they are still growing.

I know, but I wanted to keep it with the "four" theme. Maybe another brewery will step it up soon.

They're not worthy until they distribute.

Living in pasadena, I do love HPB.

But there's something about BW's IPAs...they're just too damn good. I'll take a pint of fresh Laurel ( or amalgamator, melrose, citraholic, ultrahop 2000) over pretty much anything.

If anything, we should be stoked that were so spoiled to be comparing Beachwood, noble, esbc, bl, etc. we got it pretty good out here

    SD's Hop 4 = MT, Societe, Stone, Alpine/GF

I think OC/LA's Hop 4 can take them on.

I think you can take GF out. Alpine still has a few new things going for them. Societe hasn't really put anything new and exciting out in the last year or so. Stone is still God of SD. And MT does have more goodness than sadness.
