Anyone seen Marshal Zhukov yet?

I did it yesterday. Boca to Tampa left house at 7am got back at 3:00 with my case of MZ. Beat tired from the drive but worth every mile and gallon of gas. They have four pallets for sale at CCB you figure around 50 cases per pallet 12 bottles per case. $13.00 a bottle. They had MZ on nitro wasn't a fan kinda fluffy tasting. I may be making this trip once every few months if I get the ok from wife. I will be willing to grab anything for somebody local around me all I ask if you can help me out with the gas and pay for your own beer.

 

..... Leaving tomorrow morning at 8 a.m. for Tampa and spending the day there.Anybody know if the food trucks will be around ,or should I look at other options.Mike

 

I swung by this evening and picked up 3 bottles. I wanted more but the wallet said not right now. Luckily this is only a 30-40 minute drive for me depending in traffic, so I'll probably go back pretty soon.

 

When I was there a food truck was available. It seem like they may have one everyday. Not sure?

 

I'm hoping Leuken's doesn't go crazy like last year and snag two pallets for themselves. I'd really like to see MZ hit distribution in North Florida this year.

 

I met 2 guys from Jax at the brewery Mon.and they took back 3-4 cases of MZ because they said Jax was getting 4 total.

 

It did come to gainesville. I don't know how close you are but we got plenty last year.

Seriously man! I'm just not keen on their online store, selling Zhukov almost year round!

 

Why wouldn't they? They sell tons of Cigar City beer and therefore have the pull to buy that much. It helps heavily for their online sales, and I'm sure they don't want to give that up.

 

I think it is every Friday and Saturday afternoon/evening - for the much larger weekend crowd to have something to eat.

 

It really doesn't help much for trade fodder when any Joe BA privileged enough to live in an area with far better distro than Florida's to shrug off MZ as another "off-the-shelf" local due to it being available at Leuken's nearly year-round. Besides that, they could be putting more of the good stuff in more CCB-starved local markets *cough* South FL *cough*.

But that's my take on it.

 

I see where you're coming from, but it is nice for me to be able to walk in there whenever I'm in Tampa and pick it up 6 months after release.

 

Who else is getting kinda frustrated with TWine? I still go in that store twice a wk but when they get CCB in they hide it behind the counter and only sell one per person. I'm sure they will do that with MZ.
