I was about to ask whether this was Voltan based, but then I see the wizard looking dude and wonder if it is Thudstaff based...but it doesn't indicate it is a Belgian stout. Then of course there's the fact that it's a collab, so it's probably neither. Has any other information been leaked on this?

Anybody else tried the BA Scotty Karate yet? Kinda disappointed. Very light bourbon and barrel. Definitely prefer Wulver and Backwoods.

Ya same here i taste a little oxidation as well. definitely not in the same league but it drinks OK picked up 2 ,4 packs which is more than enough for me I'm not disappointed but the price point vs bb really hurts overall

Yeah the $18.99 price point was crazy considering Scotty Karate non-BA is much cheaper and a pretty damn good Scotch Ale. Plus Backwoods is cheaper too.

I'll take backwoods over BA Scotty. Had one last night, I like the beer and the bourbon is tasty, the whole thing's just a bit muted. The price is the problem with this one.

New Fat Heads beer mentioned in their newsletter - Benjamin Dankly (Danklin?) taps 4/21. No word on style but sounds hoppy like chronic.

Possibly, it is tapping at the production brewery tap house on 4/21. The board and newsletter for the Saloon just says "Three Floyds Collab".

Just saw some KBS shadiness at the Kroger on Chambers Rd.

I'm there doing some grocery shopping and figure, what the hell, I'll check for KBS.

No KBS on the floor, at all. I'm checking out my groceries in one lane and see a Kroger employee "Matt" with two four packs of KBS, checking out. He takes them and walks them away.

I ask the beer department person on the floor about if they have KBS and am told that they'll be "getting it later".

I find the KBS rat race tiring so I don't really bother, but I personally don't see this Kroger getting more than a case of it, and an employee is already hogging two packs of it before it even reaches the floor

That is one reason I was more than happy to trade a Nut Smasher and one other bottle of something for a few bottles of KBS from someone locally who went to Founder's for the release... No hassle of trying to find any. I hate having to work around practices like that.

I don't necessarily have an issue with employees getting some but raiding the stash before it hits the floor? And then taking two packs? You'd be hard pressed to find many people in this city who get 8 bottles without going to insane lengths to procure them

That sucks reminds me of the whole foods in upper Arlington in Columbus hoarding 90% of their kbs and giving the 8 of us in line for over an hour 2 bottles when it was stated a 4 pack per person

Alright here's the latest on NW OH...

Great Lakes Chill Wave has hit the market - $9.99/4pk
Rhinegeigt is now readily available - $9.99/6pk
BA Scotty Karate can still be found if you look hard enough - $18.99/4pk
All shops that received KBS today sold out in less than an hour - Fuck you Toledo market!

sounds about right.. easier to trade for KBS than it is to buy it at release in Ohio.

Missed KBS, but some Rhinegeist and Chill Wave should fill in quite nicely. Glad Rhinegeist finally made it's way up here.
