Thanks. No I didn't read the whole thread. Got through the first couple of pages. I don't think I can resist drinking another one soon then I'll probably try a 6 month and a 1yr and see how it goes.

Ignore that sparty, they're always offended...

Also, drink it up! I just finished another 2016 and its absolutely amazing. If you can save some, thats cool, but don't feel bad about enjoying some now because I don't think its going to morph into something life-altering.

Haha! Good point on drinking this one. Aging can make a beer that is overly harsh mellow out a bit but I don't see that problem with this one. It's close to perfect when it's fresh!

    Hey, we're a friendly bunch!

I will say that I much prefer the 2015 I opened a few weeks back to the 2016 I had from bottle and draft last weekend. Definitely still had the bourbon and coffee, but not as intense, and the chocolate really comes to the forefront, which I really enjoy. Everyone's tastes are different, though....which I think is all the more reason to drink one now, see how you like it and then judge from there about holding onto it.

Just breaking balls , but I agree that given the luxury, putting a couple away would be nice. However, I try to enjoy anything with coffee in it pretty soon after I get it. But thats a trade off between holding the coffee and calming the booze with KBS

While 7-8 bucks/bottle does suck, it's nothing compared to prices of bomb, which i don't like nearly as much.

For anyone still looking in the Bay Area, CA, Whole Foods in SF on Ocean Ave. had some left as of this evening. Also, BevMo in San Mateo was still waiting for its delivery as of yesterday, so that might be another option.

Reading through this thread made me much happier about paying $6.99 for a bottle, and my go to shop having a one bottle limit. Can't hardly wait to drink it on Thursday when I'm done for the week! I think I'm going to go back to the store today and see if there's any left and can con my way into a second one.

Pretty bummed out. Was told by my local TW they would get it yesterday. And they are across the street from my apartment. The bottle shop next to my office was releasing it at 6 but I get out at 4:30. So I went to TW to get it. Was informed they were releasing it today even though they were trying to do it yesterday. Hope I can get my hands on some after work :/

Went to a small hole in the wall place in Boston and walked out with 3 4 packs, could've gotten more but didn't want to be greedy.

walked in a gas station I knew sold founders and they had 2 cases on the floor. Guy let me buy one for $120. I had got 2 bottles at a store the previous day I had to drive an hour to get there. Buying the case would be considered greedy but I never get this chance. opinions ?

My opinion is you are greedy.
But considering I had to scramble to get 3 bottles, I would have done the same thing you did.

I wouldn't call it greedy. I would call it being in the right place at the right time. Greedy would be buying the case so you could sell it for twice what you paid for it. If you plan to drink it, not greedy.

I wouldn't feel greedy about getting a case at all (I got that much, albeit not at one place). I'd think about all the great times I'd have drinking KBS over the next year or two...depending on how long you like to let them sit.

My personal opinion: if you aren't skirting bottle limits, or cheating to get that much, and you are going to drink/use it, then its not greedy. Enjoy the good luck and the KBS!

Hell I even asked the clerk if there was a limit and he offered to sell the case. I'll chalk this one up as a rare win for me. Thanks BA's

Anyone beer geek would have done the same thing simply because they can. What you do with that beer detriments if your greedy or not. A good rule of thumb is to sell to friends that missed out at cost. Even outs the impact on your Beer Karma.
