Darn ridiculous indeed. Billy at Charlies off Canton Road in Marietta would only sell me one bottle for $7.41 with tax. Said it was first come first serve, then said he was saving the rest for his good customers. Also gave me an unsolicited lecture about spending more money there would put me on that list, tried to make me feel almost unwelcome, and extremely lucky to be getting one bottle. I will never go back.

Thought the 2016 was way better than 2015

Anywhere in Indianapolis have KBS on tap or bottles/4-packs for sale? I'll be in Indy the next two days! Thanks.

all good. I honestly think that ticket system is a fair way of doing it, had he started it a decent amount of time before the KBS release. Had he started taking tickets in, let's say January or whatever with every Founder's purchase and allowing your name to be entered multiple times when you make a founders purchase, it would favor the ones who actually buy Founders. It would give you a better shot at KBS because you actually support the brewery regularly, then drawing names when KBS comes out. I'd be cool with a system like that.

I hate having to do first-come-first-served w/ a limit because I have guys that buy a 6er of Centennial every other night and more on the weekends, but they never get their fair share of KBS because so many people want it, half of which don't even know what it is. They've just been told that its Founders, and it's rare, so they need it. I had a girl tell me she hated coffee beers, hated stouts, hated BBA beers, and a few weeks later she comes walking in looking for KBS. My head exploded.

I agree. Just opened up my second bottle of KBS. 2nd time ever having it. And just like my first bottle, I was very disappointed. This is a just a basic beer. Not a bad beer by any means, but just a basic beer, and not something you'd expect from a special/limited release. KBS is no where in the same universe as a Parabola and a Bourbon County. No comparison at all. Very disappointed. But hey, at least I tried it and checked it off the list.

I would have left without buying anything I understand his side of things but either sell the customer the bottle or say it's only for regulars that sucks man

3 VERY different beers. Not what I'd compare to each other but just enjoy for what each offers.

Exactly i would think Parabajava, BCBCS (even though no chocolate), and KBS. would be a better comparision

Exactly - that said I like the SMS - KBS comparison. I've had both but haven't been able to do a side by side.

Was able to score 2 4-packs at 11.99 a piece due to miss labeled price!

I went to whole foods and saw one on the shelf... grabbed it. then went back to the same whole foods a few hours later and asked the girl at the cheese counter if they had any more. SCORE. She handed the 4-pack off to me like it was illegal activity

Literally just a minute ago, I went to the BevMo website and ordered a 4 pack for pick up after work today. No drama or hunting at all. $25.00.

    San Fernando Valley location.

How much for shipping because BevMo is high for shipping costs?

You don't have to have it shipped. You order it online and pick it up in the store an hour later.

All Bevmos do that. You can look at the inventory of each bevmo. Select your bevmo, select the product and it will tell you how much they have on hand.

I drank one with breakfast this morning because I figured my palate was off last night but I was disappointed again. The mouthfeel is way off from what expect in a beer like this. Way too much carbonation and thin. There's a weird astringent bitterness in the aftertaste as well. What a letdown.
