Has anyone tried it yet? Feedback? $18 is close to the upper limit of what I'll pay for 750ml, so I'm just curious if others perceive it to be "worth it".

 

Chambers Rd Kroger in Columbus just put their KBS in the mixed six area which is $9.99 a sixer. There were only 4 left

Unfortunately my friend texted me about it and I was not actually there. I told him to take them all for himself. Hopefully he will share though.

Chillwave. Good lord. I suffered through 4 bottles last night (for science). Felt like I was drinking some generic Sam Adams fizzy hoppy beer 8 months past its prime.

My support of GLBC has really just plummeted in the past 2 years. I've tried to keep the faith, but I'm probably done.

 

I get this semi-harsh, chemical-ish aftertaste from many of their brews...

 

I've had two bottles so far this year and thought they were great. Liked it more than last year. Nothing like what you describe.

 

Exactly. Really weird metallic/steel aftertaste. I'm going to try some on draft just to see, but I got the same thing with a few bottles of Blackout Stout (non-ba).

I've heard more of the same. Last year this was a huge beer for me, so I have high hopes. Will try some tonight.

Were previous years labeled with emphasis on honey? I don't remember chillwave being comparable to hopslam.

I was also saying to my buddy I didn't jump on the release last year, so the bottles sat a bit when I had them, might make a difference.

Have high hopes for lake erie monster, think that's marked for june.
