I'm new to the area and have not been to any releases at Green Man (or NC yet). I had 2 questions.
    1) They don't allow bottle shares in line do they?
    2) Do they allow dogs at the brewery?

Sorry for the newb questions and thanks for the help!

They replied on the event page on FB there would be about 600 total bottles, so 300 allocations assuming everyone gets their 2.

Or if they allow repeats through line and then change allocations like last year, then who knows how many people will be able to get it...

Sorry, I am a bit salty about the mishandling and sheer amount of neckbeards that attended last years Snozz release, which was supposed to be a 'fun, chill release'. Turns out mules and cutting back in line was the rule of the day. I was happy how Maceo was handled though.

    1) No (I think if you are sly it might be acceptable, but you won't find a bunch of people pulling bottles out)
    2) Yes

I was pretty ticked off as well last year.

They posted on social media that they had a ton of bottles left and no line. I hustled down there (within 5 minutes) and everything was gone. As you had mentioned, people started going back for seconds, which I assume is the reason I got shut out.

I wasn't there last year, but there's a big difference between going through the line a 2nd time after everyone has gone through and cutting the line. Did they specifically state that no one was supposed to go through the line twice? If so then they've got to use some sort of system to monitor that. Otherwise you know some people are going to do it.

No they did not frown upon going through the line a 2nd time. I did this myself. I got there 2 hours or so early and got the stupid ticket which meant nothing. At bottle sale time i got into my spot which was about 50th i believe and got my 2 bottles. I got back in line at the very end of it and got another bottle.

I look at it this way. If you are not there by the onsale time or you didn't get your wife, brother, cousin, or whoever to get you bottles then it is not the person's fault that is going through the line twice especially when it is allowed. As far as line cutting that is pretty shitty but i did not notice that personally.

Also there was 3 full green city trash cans full of empty bottles at the Maceo release. Bottle shares do happen.

'Going back through line' seemed to mean hooking up with your bros who were already in line and got there 20 minutes after you. It was finally Greenman that shoo'ed these people away and lowered the limit to one Snozz per person hoping to make bottles last a little longer. It's not 100% the people's fault, there was 'supposed' to be bands for everyone so they could track it, but that quickly went by the wayside.

Last year people were grabbing multiple numbers and getting back in line. I know of a few aholes that did this multiple times. I talked to a rep for green man today. This year will be handled different. Bottles shares will be frowned on being Sunday. They are concerned because it's on their property and they can't serve until noon. Not sure if they will shut it down or not. He also told me there is about 80 cases of snozz.

So a rep told you 960 bottles?? I've got emails and responses in Facebook saying roughly 600 bottle for the release. Guess there holding some back for events etc.

That's what I'm guessing. I figure staff, family & friends as well. I figure he knows what he's talking about. He's the brewery rep for Charlotte but lives in Asheville. Maybe they will bring some to WW funk event.

The 2 bottle limit is making it tempting to make the trip to avl. This, presumably golden angel soon, bourbon skillet, Peabody's cellar sale, state of origin... My wallet and car are going to suffer over the next 2 months.

Last year they had a keg of it at the funk event.

You could probably skip Peabody's to save some funding. After last years strange way of selling bottles, I realized it wasn't worth my time or effort to stand around all day for an inflated price on a year old KBS.

Yep if your trying to save your time and effort please don't come to the sale for an inflated bottle of KBS...I didn't have enough room to save any...year old KBS will not be at the sale this year....that should cut the line significantly...whooo that saved me some stress:wink:!

Cellar sale isn't even the main reason I'm coming!
Thanks for getting that bottle out to me so quickly BTW

@MrPeabodysBeard AKA Chris is the man. This dude has hooked me up several times in the past and bummed that somebody is calling out their epic cellar sale! If you haven't been, I highly recommend it.
