Trade extras. Usually great, sometimes disappointing, occasionally WTF, but unwrapping trade extras is like Christmas morning.

Bottle sharing.

 

Awesome thread. I love:

-The first beach beer of the season (and everyone after that).
-Visiting new breweries with my lady.
-Enjoying a beer after a hike or bike ride.

I love sitting at my picnic table listening to the cardinal sing, watching my tulips bloom in the warm sunshine while savoring a beer and thinking about all the things that everyone else here has thought about.

Love any beers with rye in them. Also, love the smell of my empty beer glass in the morning. Not sure if it's weird or why, but I do. The sugar?

 

From my distant somewhat inebriated past I recall a beer named Right Time. I think it was a malt liquor and about all I remember of it was that it was always the right time for a Right Time. Your quote made me think of that beer. Anyone else remember it?

 

- Summer time: drinking an IPA while grilling
- Winter time: drinking an IPA while shoveling snow
- Researching & reading reviews of pubs, taprooms, breweries, etc & then visiting those same places, makes for great adventures!

 

Not sure how old you are, but probably reminds you of college, least it does for me

 

I love when the aftertaste of my nightcap beer is so good that I decide to skip brushing my teeth that night.

(thankfully, this doesn't happen a lot)

I love going to beer fests and sampling different styles I'm not used to.

I love filling a growler of my favorite beer early in the week and the anticipation of cracking it open over the weekend and enjoying it with friends.
Also love drinking a "world class" rated beer for the 1st time and saying to myself "now I know what all the hype was about!!!"

I love that little Pppffffftttt sound a bottle makes when you open it. I especially like that sound when I'm opening the first bottle from a homebrew batch, which I'm new at - so that sound is reassuring. But I do really like to hear that sound even on non-homebrews!

 

Collecting pint glasses from Midwestern breweries.

Seeing what beers I can find when I'm back home (Ohio) or visiting my girlfriend's family (Minnesota) that I can't find where I live (Boston).

Checking out the seemingly endless stream of new breweries in Minneapolis.

Drinking a beer while watching baseball or listening to music.

Aspirational: Making a homebrew that doesn't suck.

 

I loved that I still get the "holy crap" moments with a new beer that I did at a Halloween party while in college in 1985. I still remember my first taste of the Spaten Optimator and going "holy crap". This is good beer. Of course, I proceeded to get shit faced.

Fortunately, I have broken that bad habit and just look forward to opening a beer at night in my recliner and either reading a book or watching the "boob tube" (television for you youngsters). Looking at the lacing as the beer slowly goes down in the glass and appreciating the different taste profiles as the beer warms. As my college buddy used to say: "It's good to be the king!".

 

I love that my favorite beer is always available, fresh, and inexpensive. I do hate the over use of the word love....Opps! Change comes slowly.

 

I love the taste of dark fruit in a good stout, and the first of a good IPA when first opened.
