I may not be with you 100% @VincentChase but i do agree they should have sold some tickets on site like they did last year, which IIRC lasted a few days. That probably wouldn't have been the case this year with the recent explosion of popularity, but last year it was very easy for locals to buy tickets. My guess is that the treehouse crew was worried to many people would show up, or arrive ridiculously early for on-site tickets and they didn't want to create a mess. I think the ideal system would be a lottery system, and split the allotments up for on site/ online. Maybe sell on site lottery tickets for a week so it wouldn't create a mess of people all trying to show up early for tickets.

Does anyone have any more info on the new brewery? I believe there was a town planning meeting a few weeks back. Did anyone attend or know what came out of that?

Anybody know when exactly their shipment of Southern Hemisphere hops was supposed to arrive?

Been 12 for a long time. 2 is a good time to get there to avoid crowds, though.

Getting there at 11 on a Wednesday, you'll likely be right up towards the front of the line. Have fun chatting with local regulars, and you'll be in and out in minutes.

So since tomorrow is June 1st, has someone created the FAQ post that was talked about earlier this month?

I drink most of it, I trade a small portion of it and the rest goes to friends and family. I'm not going this week because the reserves are full. More Alter Ego for the rest of you.

Alter Ego is great. Maybe tomorrow is a redux of a few weeks ago when it was AE and Green?

Think of it this way. People who get to go that are far away, may go once and that might be it. They are an inconsequential blip on their radar and bottom line. From the sound of it you get to go quite often. So in reality those people are the ones losing and you are the one who gets the fresh cans and pours week to week. If anything those people are envious of you.

Nope, this is a standard offering, and a normal can limit for Wednesdays. If tomorrow's release is something special, it may boost numbers higher than normal, but chances are it's going to be another "core" beer at 6pp to make it an easy 12-pk allocation per person. The "normal" crowd for Wednesdays has been in the 1,200-1,600 person range, so the crowd is plenty big to begin with. Expect to be ~50-100 in line by 11am, and out with cans roughly 20 minutes after they open the doors. Enjoy!

I think you are missing his point about the anniversary party being, in their own words, a time to share beers with those who have supported the brewery since its inception. I agree that it should have been a mix of online and onsite sales but I'm sure they had their reasons (I'd bet that the size of the crowds over the last several weeks was a big factor). Who knows, maybe they did in fact hold some back to sell at the brewery and haven't announced it yet.

I will be visiting this coming Saturday morning. While I would be stupid to deny the desire for something rare (KJ, JM, GM)...from what I hear, the mere mention of it would ensure everything selling out before Saturday due to higher turnouts. So I'm just hoping for the opportunity to buy a good two or three TH varieties, since it will be my first trip ever, and probably only for years to come.
