Bruery 2016 RS/HS Allocations

melange 14 anyone?

 

The next few months don't look kindly to my wallet.

 

Hrmmm, not sure about that 14. I'm also not a huge BW fan though so that's why it's turning me off. I'll still try it though because the Bruery has surprised me more than once before!

Is it confirmed M14 is only hoarders this year? I know they mostly are but RS got M12 last year?

 

Don't think it is confirmed at all. I think ColdStorage was just trying to cover his bases in case it ended up being that way.

 

Makes sense, I want to do the same. I love most of the Bruery's barleywines. Add in some Black Tuesday? Damn.

 

I too am really hoping it hits RS! No adjuncts, and letting the beer shine through is something I wish they would do more of. I am a big fan of MW but after that I would rather see beers be the star and not so many additions.

 

I would think it's reaching RS since it is included in the "On the Horizon" section of their e-mails to RS members (along with a Mélange #15).

 

didnt they say the melanges are no longer gonna be hoarder releases? and the hoarder releases are now gonna be called cuvees?

Yep. Melange will be Bruery recipes, Cuvee are the hoarder blending winners. Two Cuvee releases scheduled this year, one sour, one stout.

 

M14 is so going to get maxed. That is right in my wheelhouse.

 

Translation: it's beer.

So is this like M3 Reserve then?

 

Sounds more like a blend of M10 and M12, without the spices. M3 doesn't use barleywine as a base.

However, I don't think it'd be a blend of anything already existing. It would just be more akin to that blend.

 

Sounds like it will be a blend of Mash and Anniversary with a bit of SHIT's base beer blended in.

 

Opened my last bottle of Ride That Goat tonight. Wouldn't mind seeing that one brewed again.
