If you're in Denver/Boulder on the 7th, Avery has a release party for their next beer in the BA series. The release parties are usually a good time and get 4-6 great one-offs of some great beers.

Frisco has great pizza (Backcountry), great sausages (Prost) and great beer (both). I hope you have a driver

Probably see you around sooner or later. Also planning on Thursday night and Saturday members session. Live in Ft. Collins so will be out getting my drink on there as well. Cheers! Didn't even know that Nederland had a brewery. Frisco/Dillon is a beautiful area with some good little breweries as well! In Loveland, check out Big Beaver always double digit beers on tap and all styles.

I'm in Nederland almost every weekend, it's my regular after-hike stop. Wild Mountain's beers are not worth the trip, their chickens wings absolutely ARE (smoked and amazing). Get chicken wings, a pretzel, and Hop Diggity... you'll be in heaven.

Won't be doing the Boulder area this year ... they have received a lot of love from us over the years, had to switch it up.

Always have a driver, usually a taxi in metro areas ... walk if possible. We always play safe.

They are on the list with Grimm Brothers ...

Might also make a little detour through Niwot and stop at Bootstrap Brewing. They are putting out a solid lineup.

Grimm Brothers is an excellent bet. They fly under the radar even out here. Some of the best German stuff around.
Definitely try and hit up Dry Dock, too. So many new places have opened since last year, you could actually do nothing but visit places that have opened since 10/11 and be occupied for days.

Hmmm ... was trying to hit a place on the way up to Fort Collins from Dillon for a quick lunch and a beer, without hitting Boulder. Most places just have a tasting room and I am not going to rely on whether there will be a food truck somewhere or not.

Yeah, definitely worth a lunch stop... just don't expect anything special from the brews.

Not sure why you'd want to avoid Boulder though!

Been to Boulder the past 3-4 years and times before that as well. Just need to switch it up this year.

Loveland Ale Works rocks up there. Hit it a couple weekends ago.

Boulder is a very good place for beer, but not growing the way Denver, Ft.Collins/Loveland and the rest of the state are in regards to breweries and beer bars! (don't get me wrong Avery is probably my 2nd or 3rd favorite brewery in the state and still need to visit Upslope, but other than that?) So if you've been there the last few years not missing much IMO.

Loveland Aleworks or Big Beaver, we only have time for one as Grimm Brothers is a must?

Grimm Brothers is a must, not my style but do a great job at what they do. Flip a coin with the other two, I personally give a slight edge to Big Beaver but Loveland Aleworks is in a convenient location and moving in the right direction. IMO Big Beaver, but small town no reason you cant get a taster at each and keep movin

Don't forget Twisted Pine who is very underrated. Also Avery, Upslope, AND Twisted Pine are currently expanding (all new buildings), so next year make sure to put Boulder on your must-stop list.

With that said, Ft. Collins is my favorite town in the country for beer.

Yeah ... next year we'll be back to Boulder for a day. Avery, Twisted Pine, Upslope & Southern Sun Pub and Brewery ... unless Boulder sees an explosion of new breweries. ;-)
