I was there Friday night. They had a small table set up where they were selling 2 differrent T-shirts and a sweater. They were also handing out koozies to those buying their cans but they ran out very early on. I got there at 8:30 and missed out on the koozies.

Pretty amped for today's releases: Fairy Basslet (new fish brew), Lil Citra, and Coffee Break Abduction!

 

Anyone know if lil citra gets distro to northwest burbs today (or is it later in the week for suburbs?)

I'm sending a trade box today and I'd like to include lil citra as an extra

 

Your stores should be on a pretty set distribution schedule, so if they normally get PW shipments on Monday, then it should include Lil' Citra. I'd say your best bet is to call whichever store(s) you tend to frequent.

 

I'm out in Elmhurst for work today. Time to do some PW research to find a Monday delivery!

 

Usually it's Monday, but sometimes Tuesday for PW. Binny's is your best bet for a Monday, as the smaller liquor stores sometimes Tuesday.

 

When was the last Ninja vs Unicorn release? Cans are sold out everywhere in the South Suburbs of Chicago and I imagine if I find any it may be a little old by now. I've never had any trouble finding this beer until now.

In all seriousness, though, it looks like they have been canning it 2-3 times per month, so there should be another fresh batch coming soon.

 

I was pretty sure I saw NvU at the Binny's in EP this weekend. I'm probably going there today, I'll report back. Hoping they have Fairy Basslet today.

 

Ha! No, 3 weeks old is totally fine with me. I thought it had been longer than that since the last release. Now I'll have to try and hunt some down. I may not have a chance to drive in to the city so I'll have to start calling around. Thanks for the replies!

 

if a small store is in the same area/town as a binny's they get delivery the same day, they may choose not to sell new items until the day after so it can be put into their pos system, this changes store to store, but no one gets pushed to the side for a binny's in our distribution.

to fit lil citra into our schedule ninja had to get pushed back just a little, it will be back really soon, this hopefully means everyone will sell out of all their ninja cans and when it comes back it will be nothing but fresh stock at the majority of our accounts

call your stores to check, this week has no alterations to regular deliveries so if you shop at a store that normally receives beer on a monday, they will be getting a drop today, if they normally get delivered to on a wednesday, they are getting their drop on wednesday.

Anyone else slightly let down on each new "fish beer" that there isn't any fish extract added? Anchovies anyone?

 

Ran by Beer Cellar and picked up Lil Citra, Fairy Basslet, and Hailstorm's NE-style pale ale. Excited to try all three!

 

Scored all the good stuff at beer temple today. It looked like it was all gonna go fast!

 

Didn't see any of the new stuff at Binnys on Grand around 1:30 this afternoon. They might be on the Tuesday distro schedule though...

 

Binny's in Evergreen park has NvU cans, but no sign of Fairy Basslet yet, but I'm pretty sure they are getting it tomorrow for sure.
