If anyone in the western suburbs is looking for EG, PM me. I saw it today and it looked like there were a few bottles still left

Fairy Basslet is good, but I want more pineapple. It's solid but I'm ok with just 1 bottle. Really want to try the Scarlett Beta next. If not bring on Spotted Puffer again!

I have to agree. My goodness is this good. I went in buying this and Basslet, and this stole the show hands down. It's up there with Wig Splitter with the best non BA coffee brews I've had (Buckley is there too). Going to pick 3 or 4 more up tomorrow.

Ok, seems like you had the same experience/response that I had to this round. Fairy Basslet was solid, not great and Coffee Abduction was insanely good.

Fairly Basset was nice. Definitely preferred EG though

yep Coffee Break will be MUCH more abundant. And quite frankly is a world class stout. FB is good but for $11 a bomber, just a bit too pricey.

So, I'm pretty sure NvU has ruined all local IPA/DIPA for me.

I've been cutting back on beer for diet reasons, and have only been drinking when out with friends (or golfing) these last few months. Because of that, it's been a lot of stouts and Belgians/sours when i enduldge and throw a few back.

On the occasion when I'm just chilling though, NvU has been my go to summer pool/BBQ/chill beer.

It's so much better than anything in this market for the price. And I include other Pipeworks cans. I grabbed a pack of lil Citra and Citra hero today for a golf and race track outing, and while they were both delightful, all I could think was, "these are good, but i should have just grabbed ninja".

    It's such a perfect beer.

For my money, NvU is the best readily available IPA in the country.

Hey guys, I'm a little north of Arlington Heights for the holiday weekend. Any chance that any places up here still have EG or Fairy Basslet? Or any other PW limited releases? I only come over this way a few times a year and would like to try some other stuff aside from their year round line up.

@BeerGuy8315... You will probably be able to find cans and bombers if you hunt a little bit. Garfields in palatine and binnys in Lake Zurich are my frequent stops. Binnys in LZ still had EG and FB on Friday, but you might have to ask for it. They also should have lizard king and lil citra.

I'm not sure about garfields, I haven't been there in a few weeks. But every time that I've called garfields, they are pretty nice and honest.

    Good luck!

Yea, brickstone and Pipeworks are winning the bang for buck battle when it comes to double IPAs. Half acre is apparently coming for them though, very soon.

Beer just gets better and better lately

Man Coffee Abduction is just awesome

Edit: Had CW's coffee stout recently too and it's not even close IMO

If you want pineapple try and land a No Lay Ups from Other Half, most pineapple IIpa I have ever had. Not sure if it was the Motueka or the Wai-iti hops along with the Galaxy that brought this about but Damn tasty.

Are people just now seriously trying Coffee Break for the first time or is this batch just that much better? For me, its been one of their best offerings since the first time they brewed (along with EOD) it but I've never heard people rave on here about it until now. It better not turn into something that requires a chase now.

This is the best batch of it that I have had thus far. You won't need to hunt for it though, there's tons around.

This and Cinnamon were absolute winners for me.
