Man has anyone seen it in New Haven County yet?

Cool that it's on tap at Eli Cannons and still 'beach' weather.

I drink one every year and pretty much come up with the same conclusion.

Agreed. Tried it this year for the first time and I honestly thought something was wrong with the keg...until others who liked it said that's the regular taste. Its too bad because there aren't any other pumpkin beers on the market....oh wait.

You should see it everywhere by tommorow in New Haven County with some places already having it. Allocation seems to be about the same as last year.

I picked up a bottle of Pumking last week, if you are unable to get one let me know and I will give that to you as well if you are able to get that BCBS...

I liked the aroma better than the taste to be perfectly honest. The finish wasn't very good.

I don't like pumpkin beer in general.

I love good pumpkin beers. I could not develop a taste for this one, however.

I tried one once, after a sip I was going to drainpour it but wanted someone else to experience the rancidness as well. After a friend spit his sip in the sink the bottle followed.

Pumking tastes a little more candied then last year. Not digging it like I did last year.

Not half bad. We actually used roasted butternut squash and grilled yams in place of pumpkin. Loads of fresh ginger. A few friends and I had a tasting of 25 or so pumpkin beers the other night, and this one really stands up against the best of 'em.

In the spirit of this thread, I should mention that we tasted a 2011 and 2012 Pumking side-by-side. The year-old bottle was vastly superior, far more balanced with way heavier molasses notes.

Drinking a Pumking right now (my first): fake, sweet, overspiced nastiness. I'll likely drainpour half the bomber. Oh well, just not my thing.

I would likely vomit if forced to ingest more than 4oz of fresh Pumking.

Wish I was there to taste 25 pumpkin ales. Sounds like an awesome time! Glad it turned out well. I have not brewed beer at home myself, altho this weekend Im going over to my uncles house and were gonna cook up an IPA I think. First time brewing!!! Yeahhhhhhhh.

I read really great things on BA for pumking. I bought a few bottles and I thought it was pretty good. This was the first pumpkin ale that Ive ever tried so I had nothing to compare it to. As of recently Ive tried more and more pumpkin ales/beer and pumpkin rates near the bottom of the list. Had great expectations for it!!

I see that it's now cool to hate on Pumking. That's fine, more for me.
