I always say pah-gee. Or, liquid cherry gold.

People at the society desk butcher the french names of the beers all the time, no fault of their own.

Pah-JAH-yay. I got schooled by a couple French Canadians, so I'm pretty sure they're right since they speak French.

I actually had this conversation at the desk last night. They insisted it was puh-JIE (last syllable rhymes with 'eye' or 'pie') but that is clearly wrong. PAH-gay is correct.

But I mean...who cares. It's a French word so we shouldn't be expected to pronounce it correctly.

I'm not in a society but reported a flat Oude Tart bottle code purchased in VA, they sent me a snifter and one of the keychain openers. It broke in half literally the first bottle opened. I found some irony in the whole situation.

Just ask for a "shit-kriek" and you'd probably get what ya need. Ironically of course, that beer is damn tasty even though some years are acid heavy.

Just drank my sole 2015 Sans Paddle and it was fantastic. Great vanilla notes from the oak make this a smoothly delicious sour. As much as my bank account will object, I will probably max this beer out.

Sans need a bit of time last year, but turned out awesome as always. Annual max out for me.

The -yay ending is how you would pronounce the infinitive form of the verb pagayer "to paddle" not the noun pagaie "a paddle." Also, a French g is hard before an A, thus gay, not jhay. Maybe it is a dialect issue.

The crystal snifter going on sale tomorrow looks pretty nice.

It would have been nice to see a society version. Or at least the opportunity to buy from the online store, for those of us that can't make it to the tasting room.

Looks cool but I foresee a "snifter" (read: fishbowl) that can contain an entire 750mL bottle being a little to much for my bar.

Where can someone read about the details of this glass? I dont see anything on any of their facebook pages. Is it really 26+ oz or just 22?

I have two Gran Brandy Snifters from Crate and Barrel, 34oz. They are my go to snifters when drinking something high in abv. If nothing more it looks baller.

I can see the reasoning in that you might have a 15oz snifter for 3oz of Cognac, therefore 30oz snifter for 6oz of BT. I just can't imagine it being practical to store at home but would never be upset drinking from it.

@PMR can a new hoarders perk be specialty glassware in the TR?
