If you don't know, now you know! I've been a fan of these guys for a long time now - they brew some great beers. Propagator #1 was the first real juice bomb they've put out and it's making a return this Saturday alongside Rype, their collab with Proclamation, which happens to be right down the road!

They recently renovated the barn into a nice little taproom and they're upgrading to a 7bbl system very soon. If RI could fix these growler laws we'll be in business!

But a farm brewery is such a cool concept. Kudos to them!

I love Tilted Barn & Proclamation. Sad about the RI growler laws. Massachusetts has outdated ridiculous laws as well. Looks like the will of the people has to be bought. Or, at least, fought out in court. (Poet, didn't no it.)

Thinking about heading to Tilted Barn today for some brews and oysters. Does anyone know if they will fill any growler or just their own?

@Dizzzy4130 Tilted Barn will fill outside growlers, this was from another thread:

Per Facebook, the Barn will have limits on Libby and First Harvest: Mosaic, but the rest can be filled up to the new 288 ounce law.

Been a month or two since I've gotten back to the barn, but wow.....just had Propagator #1 and Mango beer out of growlers and they were fantastic. Propagator is one of the best hoppy beers I've had in a while.

Looks good but the haze looks weird

Do their beers taste particularly yeasty?

Not that I've noticed. Certainly nothing on the level of Pioneer Trailblazer

This last batch of Chosen One is bananas, absolutely full of fruit. One of the better New England DIPAs that I've had. I think it was brewed on their new system, so good to see no scaling issues!

Man I hope these guys start canning soon.

Canning was rumored to be happening in a couple of months.

Reviving this thread as I've heard more and more people talking about Tilted Barn...

Can anyone fill me in on the scene there? From FB it looks like they sell out of cans roughly 1-hour after open - and at least on one recent Friday they posted before 5pm that they counted the line and all beer was accounted for before open.

How early before open should someone arrive to ensure cans? Anything else worth noting?

I was there this past weekend and it's a great place but you are literally going to their house to buy the beer so they ask not to show up more than 1 hour prior to open. I showed up around 40 minutes prior to open on Saturday and got cans no problem.

I was there for cans last weekend when there were actually 3 options. Got there maybe 15-20 minutes early before 5pm Friday opening and was 50-60 in line, fine because they typically set 2 or 3 4-pack limits fot each beer with 80-100 or so case yields. Only thing is they split up allocations between Fri/Sat, so it's more like 50 cases per day.

This recent weekend MAY be outside the norm because of the first Chosen One DIPA canning, but the buzz could also be building.

Been there a few times, once before they started canning. I was there for the very first can release and the line was pretty long. The last time I went I stood in line for 30 mins and they sold out of cans before I was able to get any. Love to see this place blowing up because their beers are fantastic

I visited earlier on and was somewhat underwhelmed. The beers were pretty muddled and unrefined similar to anything I had had at Cold Harbor brewing. Chosen one was decent but the other 2 (Peeptoad and raffi I think) weren't anything I would have reordered. Their daughters' lemonade was the star of the show that day. I've been meaning to try and revisit and it sounds like it might be a good time to do so.
