only half of one of the four pallets they have to sell in the tasting room have sold so far. I don't think getting mz is going to be a problem

Hoping it's better from the bottles because the draft pour I had was really sweet...like "glad I only got a 5oz taster" sweet. On the positive it had great feel and plenty of coconut.

It's out a lot of places now. I assume tomorrow if your store does not have it already.

Anyone looking in Jax I just picked up 2 bottles at Total Wine. I think the other local bottle shops will be releasing it tomorrow from what I hear

To our friends & Cigar City Enthusiasts,

Brewing is equal parts art, science and humility. We dream and craft unique off-the-wall flavors; utilize tests to ensure that the products align with our expectations; and are first to admit when things go awry.

During a recent test, our sensory panel noticed that Hapax Legomenon has started to develop flavors not consistent with our expectations for this release. A follow-up lab has confirmed that a large percentage of bottles have been infected with the wild yeast strain known as Brettanomyces. This contamination has caused flavor and body characteristics reminiscent of traditional farmhouse ales like: horse blanket, must and slightly elevated carbonation levels. While we have enjoyed this unintentional flavor development, this beer no longer aligns with our vision for this label. For this reason, we will be refunding the credit card accounts of all El Catador Club Third Edition members for $25.00 to cover the price of this bottle. The credit should appear on your account by 8/15/2016.

If you purchased a bottle of Hapax Legomenon in the Cigar City Tasting Room, we will initiate your refund once we receive proof of purchase.

If you have any additional questions or need to submit proof of purchase, please email us at [email protected]. Our goal is to make this process as stress-free as possible.

We truly appreciate your understanding in this matter.

    Cheers & All the best,
    Cigar City Brewing Company

Mendez Fuel in Miami got some, sold out in 30 minutes. other then trying to grab it to trade I don't think it is worth hunting for. Had it on tap after missing out getting a bottle. It is good but did it jump out leaps and bounds ahead of something like Old Rasputin? for me no it didn't. I would imagine ABC and TW have some today depending on location and its either sold out if it went on sale or will be gone in less than a half hour in the morning despite the 1 bottle pp limit

It's much better than Old Rasputin IMO. It's one of the better base stouts around.

Agreed. MZ is far and away one of my personal top 3 favorite stouts. I've done a lot of research trying to replicate it even at home and I still can't quite get it.

As mentioned, Mendez in Miami sold out in 30 mins so decided to hit up a more obscure spot, Downstairs off Lejeune. No MZ but found a Wide Awake buried behind some Muy Bonitas :grinning:

This has been the best MZ vintage in the last 3 years IMO. Thought it was great.

I normally spend my beer money on Jai Alai when I travel to FL. But y'all got me excited about this stout. I hope there is still some left Thursday.

Sold out more like in10 minutes. At least, 10 minutes from when they posted it was in on social media. Glad I didn't leave work to try and score a bottle because it would have sold out by the time I got to my car!

Whole foods in Boca got one case. I either grabbed last bottle or 2nd to last. ABC wine Boca glades also scored. Now have 3 bottles. Stinks I have to run around town on lunch break to be able to score 3
