Where is this "longer hours" commentary derived from? Has TH mentioned it?

Until new and exciting releases come up. There will always be lines before open, especially with big name releases, and Tree House's clientele will only increase in the next year.

I forsee HUGE problems with the teeny tiny parking lot when Very Good Morning w/ Vanilla Bean is released.

Tree House mentioned in an article that they will be able to be open from 10:00am to 10:00pm six days a week at the new facility. It is almost certain they won't be open every single hour during those time periods, but they probably will be in a position to increase their hours to more than 12 hours per week. Not sure how many people are employed now, but they're looking at 30 or so employees at Charlton which suggests expanding retail capacity and hours.

Will there still not be drinking on premises (an MA law or something?) or will that change?

We have been looking forward to sharing this news for a long time. . .

We are building a new brewery!

It will reside in Charlton, Massachusetts on a very central yet secluded seventy acres of land true to the Tree House aesthetic with a mixture of woods, green space, and serenity. It is designed as an expandable and multi-faceted 45,000 square foot facility and will feature a state of the art 50 BBL brewhouse, a 5,000 square foot retail space where can sales, bottle sales, and full pours will be offered at least five days a week, and a large outdoor pavilion. The retail shop will feel familiar, with an open space vista overlooking a tank farm of 60, 120, and 240 BBL fermenters flanked by a natural light-drenched brewhouse.

^ Some of that has changed (Not fulls pours, just number stuff). Can update a few details when I get a chance in the next couple of days.

Curious if this still has to do with MA law. If so, you guys (especially the local MA consumers) have got to start a movement, it's got to be irritating to run a brewery with those kinds of limitations. It took us years of arguing to wipe out the 12% ABV limit here in Ohio but it finally happened this year and feels great to know we don't have to think about those bothersome restrictions after September.

How much do each of the growler glasses cost at Tree House?

For all the craziness that surrounds Very Green, King Julius, and JJJ, it seems like it flies under the radar how nice it is that Doppelganger releases almost regularly. It's ridiculous how good it is, easily right there with all of the Julius variants to my tastes. To be in and out in 15 minutes on a Friday night with 8 cans of a contender for TH's best IPA is pretty great especially with how crazy lines have otherwise been recently.

Plus, it's really just Mosaic/Amarillo King Julius, right? I'm not one to make fun of anyone believing the hype but it is funny to think about how much more popular it might be if it were called that.

In Boston tomorrow for biz from Baltimore. Planning to head out around 2pm and hoping to snag some of this. Hope it lasts.

Is there any rhyme or reason as to what normally gets canned and released along side green? Should I expect another hoppy beer or is it usually released with something like "That's what she said" so there is style variety for the week?

I'm hoping for another delicious hoppy beer for the record like Julius or Haze.

Your guess is as good as ours. Check the first post and you can see an answer to this and some other questions you may have. Good luck and you should not have a problem getting some at 2pm or so. Usually they have been running out after 4 the last few weeks.

Any one of you know if there are free campsites near Tree House? I know that in some states (like Vermont), you can do something called "primitive camping" in some designated areas. I know there are paying campgrounds near Tree House, BTW.

As barroomhero1977 mentioned, your guess is as good as ours, but if you want to go by a recent trend, the last 6 times that Green has been released, Alter Ego has also been canned in the same week...

I wanted to clarify what I said above - A lot has changed about our Charlton plans (bigger, better), but we will absolutely offer full pours out of the gate.

I'm planning a trip to Vermont and MA for September and the only day I can visit Tree House is on a Thursday. How early would I need to get there in order to be able to get some cans?

anytime prior to close, they have not been selling out on thursdays. however, you will likely only have 1 option for cans with a few more on for growlers

Julius has been pretty consistent recently, but Julius and Haze were both released last week. It's anyone's guess, but as was mentioned, Alter Ego is a strong possibility. You definitely want to leave Boston before 2 (if I understood correctly). Traffic will build heading west and an accident will leave you right around summer cutoff time of 4ish!
