Considering this is brewery only and we know the price what this person is doing is also against the law.

I have seen people post stuff for sale higher than retail in trade groups but the moderators are often quick to ask them to remove the price

I think the creator of this positive, helpful, supportive thread should be entitled to at least one ticket... Just sayin.

Wow. Not surprised, but that's a misdemeanor charge.

That is a bargain compared to what some people are trying to sell Treehouse cans for on a certain website (talking $50 a can for Very Green).

I seriously don't get it, no IPA is worth this. I wonder what Veil's opinion of resellers is? They have to know it is going on and no limits will encourage it.

Who needs to pay and mess with distributors when your customers do all that. You think all the hype about "NE IPA's" is being spread by traders/sellers of the limited distributed stuff? Happens in Florida a lot, as well. There's one in Jupiter going through that. When the hype fades, I hope these brewers are set for life. Beer is good.

I'm not sure no limits encourages this. If I were trying to "buy" veil cans my thought would be "this person could have walked out of there with 15 cases of this one beer - it is not 'limited' or worth anything other than a $4$ trade."

Almost can't fault the people selling it though if there is someone out there whose prerogative is to pay $45 for a four pack of "no limit" beer. I'd like to hear from anyone who does that because I don't really understand.

I've paid retail for some NE beers before but never anything marked up that outrageously. If I picked up a $15 4 pack from someone I might give them a $20 but that's it.

No limits makes it easier and painless for the seller, in the example above that guy has 9 4packs of ES, which was the one to sell out Tuesday.
While I see your scarcity logic, I doubt they see it like that, in my opinion it absolutely encourages it.

Post from Veil a few mins ago. Have no fear out-of-towners. They appear to have a "pretty awesome plan" for you!

    ______________________________________________________
We're officially SOLD OUT of all cans for the week. Thank you so much for your overwhelming support. We truly appreciate it. Details regarding next week's release coming soon. We've also worked out a pretty awesome plan regarding ticket sales that will make our locals happy as well as pleasing out of towners who are unable to purchase tickets in person during the week days. Please stay tuned for more info on that.

I didn't think the non-locals would be able to contain themselves with that extra layer of awesomeness. I'm looking forward to the double-barrel version, Savage Savage.

I just want them to announce the plans already. Like, I'm over an hour away do I count as an out of towner? Do I need to show ID to prove it? Does that only get me into a lottery for tickets? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

From the wording of that post it just sounds like they'll be saving some tickets to sell on a saturday or sunday.

That's how I took it as well. Their wording of "in person" and "week days" can throw a mixed signal so hopefully there is no complaining if they don't offer something for those who cannot make it in person. Wait.......there will be unhappy people regardless of how accommodating the plan & procedure is.

This. There are way more than 300 locals who want to go to this. People are going to be upset regardless. I think they made the right decision to sell them out of the taproom, but will be interested to see how they decide to proceed from there. I live two miles away, and I'm by no means confident about acquiring a ticket.

Same here for the most part, except I'm farther away (I should probably be complaining about taproom only by the long distance "supporters" logic?). Even being prepped to drop everything and drive, having a friend nearby on standby, and practically stalking their fb page - I still feel like the chance is next to nothing I'll get a ticket.

Forever Summer Tickets are in the house! There will be a total of 300 tickets for sale for the festival. 250 of the tickets will be sold from our tasting room in person next week. **More details to come at the beginning of next week regarding the in person sales in the tasting room.** Some non-locals might not be able to visit the tasting room to purchase tickets in person. The most fair solution we could think of is to sell 50 tickets lottery style via email. Tickets for the event are $100. Your ticket includes approx. 30 x 3oz pours(=90oz of beer), 2 food vouchers from Stroops andIntergalactic Tacos, a voucher for ice cream(info coming soon on this), and a limited edition golden Forever Summer Fest Teku. 100% of profits go to support ChildSavers(local non-profit). To enter for the opportunity to purchase tickets via email, you must fill out the following entry form:
    Full Name:
    City/State:
    Phone number:
Ideal time frame to call to pay with credit card over time:
    Number of Tickets(up to 2):
    Preference of session:
You must copy and paste this entry form, and email the responses to [email protected]. Entries will only be accepted until 9pm EST on Sunday August 14th. We will reach out to the winners by 9pm on Monday August 15th. Please be prepared to give a card number over the phone. Any lottery ticket won/purchased will NOT be transferable and will be non-refundable. This will be a will-call situation where your name will be written physically on the ticket, and there will be a list at the gate. You will need to present your ID at the gate to receive your tickets. We hope this will appease those who cannot purchase tickets from our tasting room, while still being fair to our locals. We are doing everything we can to be as fake as possible to all interested parties. Good luck! Cheers!
