There's about 50 people in line. It's fairly warm out here, there's a heavy set guy near me sweating like the polar ice caps.

I'm surprised they did not schedule a food truck to swing by beginning around lunch like they did a while back. Cannot re-call if it was the Dirt Nap release or not but they had a food truck around 1 and then ice cream truck came a couple hours later. With a release they knew was going to be highly attended (and early arrivers) I was expecting that.

Uh oh! The mobile canner is having some problems. Just posted this to their page.

To those of you waiting in line at Veil Brewing today, I want to apologize for the prolonged wait in line for the can release. Our newest canning line is not performing up to expectations and us causing significant delays. We are working as best we can to maintain quality while getting the beer out as fast ad possible.

I'm pretty sure it was dirt nap day. Doesn't seem like it's quite there - unless the line quadrupled in the last 30 minutes they're far from the 200+ people that were in line by 3PM on Dirt Nap day.

Or, maybe more people realize now you don't have to show up that early to get a full allotment. Still, sounds like waiting it out is the right call today with canning issues - they're so vague though that update's not really even helpful.

Another update by Veil. They must have had some major loss (unless they are still canning more than just Cheryl Cheryl). Original forecast was 195-215 cases of IdontwanttoBU and 165-180 cases of Daddy's Home. LOL Tho is definitely final count since they did that one last night.

    **UPDATE**
Here's what we currently have canned:
    -IdontwanttoBU - 140 cases-limit is now 3x 4-packs per person
    -Daddy's Home - 100 cases-limit is now 3x 4-packs per person
    -LOL Tho - 40 cases-limit is now 1x 4-pack
-Cheryl Cheryl - we are JUST starting to can this. We should have cans available when we open at 4pm. You might have to wait. Limit is now 2x 4-packs per person.

    Here's today's draft:
    -Lord Lord Shredder Shredder
    -Eternal Shredder
    -Child Support(Mosaic)
    -LOL Tho

Well that blows. 80 ish people in line. Wonder what "significant delays" means.

Looks like a lot more than 80 in line from the last photo posted - are there really that few people in line at this point?

In case people missed it, they said in a comment reply that they'll be "much shorter" on cans than initially anticipated - sounds like the above case counts might be pretty final :slight_frown:

I doubt anyone was getting in line for Cheryl only but to lose that much of the OH collab is a real bummer. I bet they sell out of everything around 6PM.

No Cheryl being sold is what I'm hearing.

My wife's an engineer, she told me to specify that she is a mechanical engineer, but whatever, she laughed in a condescending manner towards your comment.

We were about 50th in line today. They were not selling Cheryl Cheryl at open but right after we got our allotment and a quick pour, they started selling them and let us grab ours without having to get back in line (thank god, because it was hellish outside). Not sure how long it lasted for after we left.

Maybe I'm completely oblivious, but why would they can all 4 beers the morning of release? Why not work hard all day the day before, or on Tuesdays (whenever their mobile canning company is contracted to be there) and get a solid day of production without compromising the beer itself. Wait till the next day and release it from now on. Sitting on it in a cooler for 1 day isn't going to hurt anybody.

I have a feeling this going to change especially since they are now closed on Mondays.

Yes. I think this is a big reason why they are closed Mondays moving forward.

Good to hear they let you grab Cheryl Cheryl even after getting cans. I saw a couple people post how upset they were b/c they got the other 3 cans and left before that was finally released. And it read like they were not doing a waiting list for that but did end up doing one for Daddy's Home.

Echo what the others have said about probably canning Monday going forward. I think at first, Tuesday's was the only day ODC could get them on the schedule weekly because of their other accounts. Appears that may have opened up a little now and it's great timing based on their issues today.

Excluding what is being held for Waiting List this is what Veil posted as being available going into today's opening. (Limits based on yesterday so unless they change that going into today this is what they are)

    - Daddy's Home: 21 cases (3 4pk limit)
    - IdintwanttoBU: 70 cases (3 4pk limit)
    - Cheryl Cheryl: 2 cases (1 4pk limit)
    - LOL Tho: SOLD OUT

Summer Forever Fest Tix: 20 (2pp) to be released when they open @ 4pm

Anyone know around when LOL Tho sold out?

As far as I can guess, they had enough for 120 people and there were easily 120 in line by the time they opened.

    40 x 6 = 240 at 1pp.

I know they still had it at about 6:15 - not sure if that helps.
