I'm making a day trip up here from NYC with some friends and I'm wondering if anyone knows of any hiking trails in the area (preferably between NYC and Treehouse)?

I'm by no means an avid hiker, so others might have better knowledge, but the state has a website with hiking locations here. You'll want to stick to the "Central Region" section. If you want something super close to the brewery, Brimfield State Forest is right there. You might even check out places in CT since you'll be passing through for a substantial portion of your drive.

Tree House rocks. Flew in to Boston today, headed straight to brewery once got the rental car. Arrived at TH at 3:15 pm, easy parking, shortish line, in and out with Julius/Alter Ego/swag in about 15 minutes. Heard later they sold out an hour or so later. Glad I got to experience the place and can't wait to try the beers.

Sleeping Giant State Park in Hamden, CT is pretty cool. You should pass right by it.

Best beer they make IMO, and not really trade bait like some of their other beers. Very happy to be passing through this afternoon on my way from NYC to Boston.

Can someone help me interpret this statement on their website? Does that mean there won't be any cans on Saturday?

"For the remainder of this week we are packaging into cans on Friday. Cans become available the day they are packaged, with the exception of the Tuesday canning run, which is available on Wednesday when we are open. Over 2,000 cases expected this week."

They won't be adding additional cans on Saturday (never do). Typically there is a small amount left over from Friday but no guarantee. Last week cans lasted a couple hours on Saturday but don't believe that is the norm.

Because they announced it for Hop Jam?

That's not that part that caught my eye - this was added today...

"We will update this page - and @treehousebrewco - AS SOON AS EACH BEER IS PACKAGED! Very rarely certain beers may become available silently to maintain a manageable situation for our staff, retail shop, and neighborhood. Thank you for understanding."

Well I doubt they saved some from the 6/2 batch so there must be a new batch. If not tomorrow my guess is next week

Stopped at the BT Smoke House after Tree House and noticed this growing above the picnic tables

They look so big! I'm probably going to be looking for food in the area as well before my hike. Is that one of the top options?

I would guess high limits tonight, some variety of Bright maybe. That seems to the be the usual Friday this summer when they are going to be light staff on Saturday. I have a history of very expensive and very wrong guesses though so take that with a grain of salt.
