Re. The answer - what does andalls mean? Loved the offerings when there but any back story/origin?

They run beers through a 'randall' (google DFH + randall), which is basically a tube filled with adjuncts (cocoa nibs, vanilla beans, coffee, etc.). Beers runs through the tube and out the tap. The beer is thereby infused.

I'm not sure if all the beers that run through the 'Andall' are brewed by the Answer. Pretty sure sometimes it's a beer like Speedway Stout, etc.

For those into NE IPAs, Galaxy So Hazy (collab w/ Hardywood) is on tap now and also very good.

I wouldn't stress it. It's part of the only-mildly-clever, self-aggrandizing shtick of The Answer, which must have "an" incorporated into all their branding. It's kind of embarrassing actually, but I don't know the guy, so maybe he's able to pull it off.

That being said, they make amazing beer, and both spots are must-stops in Richmond imo.

Founders is now in Harford County and I am assuming other places in Maryland. Anyone know if they could have some KBS being shipped to other places in the state now.

I know they held it back for the baltimore release which was around Memorial Day. Didn't know if anyone else in the state would get lucky.

Looks like some Modern Times beers have hit a few select spots around town. Craft Beer Cellar has a whole bunch of stuff, but the limits (2 bombers and/or 4 packs) are pretty strict. Looks like Calvert Woodley got some as well, but didn't get all the beers CBC got.

    Any IPAs among them?

Saw Fortunate Islands which is their wheat pale ale that supposed to be pretty hoppy, also had BA Monster Park (but may not last long)

Full (I think) list of Modern Times beers at CBC today:
    • Fortunate Islands (can)
    • Blazing World (can)
    • Black House (can)
    • Lomaland (can)
    • Oneida (can)
    • City of the Dead (bottle)
    • Bourbon Barrel Monsters Park (bottle)
    • Fruitlands Guava Passionfruit (bottle)
    • Protocosmos (bottle)
    • Orderville (bottle)
And to answer your question, the last two are IPAs. I didn't check the bottle dates, but the Fortunate Islands cans I got were dated 7/26, so I'm guessing they're all relatively fresh.

Looks like Calvert Woodley got all of the cans, but only Fruitlands and Orderville in bottles.

Friday we were told the Passionfruit/Mango Andall base was a Hardywood Berliner and the stout Andalls were often based off FIS (although I wouldn't be surprised if they used regular Speedway at some point).

Picked up a 4pk of Fortunate Island and bottle of City of the Dead at the new Craft Beer Cellars. Good prices (about the same as the brewery) awesome beer store. They had plenty of MT left, but are out of BA Monsters. Had 3-4 different bombers and 4 different 4 packs available. 1 bomber + 4pk per, but they let you mix and match the 4 packs.

Re: Modern Times - is it only CBC and Calvert Woodley with cans/bottles? Did Pekko hit any of the other usual suspects (WF P st, WF FB, or D'vines in particular)?
