Notable Releases - DC/NOVA/MD

Got there around 530p, and it was full but not crazy. By the time I left around 630-45, it was nuts to butts and getting uncomfortable.

The BA Monsters was delicious (big, fudgy, creamy), but the hoppy stuff was all overly bitter and not particularly aromatic - big disappointment. I ended up spending much of my time/dollars/ounces on some new Veil hoppy stuff they had just put on (Lord Lord and Eternal), which MT couldn't come close to touching. I didn't make it to the sour stuff, but I picked up a Passionfruit/Guava Fruitlands last night, and it was really good. My partner said she got some vomity butyric acid in the nose, but I didn't get that and really enjoyed it - kinda like a really crisp rosé in a way.

 

I cracked open a Fortunate Islands last night and absolutely loved that beer. It packs a ton of flavor for 5% and is super drinkable. Highly recommended, particularly for a hoppy summer beer.

 

Any spots still have Bourbon Biggie Smores? Just called CBC and they said they sold out the other day

I don't know about Baltimore proper but it came and went in about one day around Baltimore (Perfect Pour and TW).

 

Haven't seen it or even heard i came around. That beer is very elusive

 

MT at conn ave. 4 different 4 packs, 3 bombers. Only limit was 1 monster park per customer.

 

Any FW Luponic Distortion 003 sightings in the area yet?

 

Just got back from a trip to CA and had #3. It had just come out at the brewery so it may be a couple of weeks before we get it. I think it's the best batch yet.

BTW, the FW Barrelworks location is pretty incredible. Amazing sours.

 

Was there two weeks ago myself Barrelworks is phenomenal. Main location is great as well but the two spots cater to different needs for sure.

 

Lighthouse Liquors had it at the beginning of the month.
