Blue Moon is open and it's a hell of a facility. Max occupancy is almost 700 people to put it into perspective.
Right now they have 8-9 taps. Original, Table Pils, Belgian Pale, Saison, Belgian Amber, English Brown, Dubbel, Cappuccino Stout and one more that is escaping me. The food is also as advertised - excellent. Burgers, chops, steaks, etc.
No protest here - I'm going back on the regular.

Checked out Little Machine yesterday. MIG-21 was a solid RIS, nothing crazy, just a good representation of the style. Also went with a couple fruit beers: Raspberry and boysenberry tart ales. They are exactly as advertised, good light Summery beers. Their Syrah aged wheat wine was also pretty good.
Best beer of the night, though, was the coffee double brown, good coffee, but on the sweet side, instead of bitter espresso.
I'm down that way practically never, so I don't know when I'll visit again, but they're worth keeping an eye on.

While I'm almost never anywhere near Little Machine, their taps are luckily common. Had plenty of their beers at Peak to Peak, Two Penguins, and similar places.
Of the places that have opened in the last 18 months, they're pretty high on my list.

Not sure when they're opening, or where exactly they'll be located but http://www.gunbarrelbrewing.com/ is new to the Boulder scene.

Excited for another brewery in the neighborhood to compliment Avery, Finkel & Garf, Asher and Vindication.

Anyone know more details on when/where this will be?

Went to the new Blue Moon and Rackhouse facilities this weekend.

Blue Moon is absolutely enormous. I don't think that place will ever really fill up on a typical day. Worth going for a beer and facility. Had a few non Blue Moon packaged beers on tap that were good renditions of their style. Food however is way, WAY expensive for a brewpub. $20-$25 entrees. For that price they're competing against high end restaurants in the area like Rebel and Populist which are much better. Would be a good place to take someone from out of town who isn't super into craft beer but still wants to see the scene/neighborhood or something.

Rackhouse is also enormous but they fill it well. Had Bierstadt's IPL/Comrade collab (basically tasted like lager'd Superpower which is great) and the wife had the full C Squared Cider flight. They were good, not quite as complex or interesting as Stem but were $2-$3 less a glass.

Area's fully insane now. Half of the breweries there right now won't be there in 5 years when their buildings get sold to developers.

This is what I'm fearing and not just in that area.

Maxline in Fort Collins opened this summer. Only been there once but the atmosphere was good and the ESB was killer.

Definitely. Before they got lost on the shelf and kinda all looked the same. These pop and look more professionally done.
Am curious where they'd go if they move. As always, I'll pray for the pours souls in Lakewood. 2.5 breweries and 1 good store aren't enough for a 'burb that large.

Yeah it's a cool spot. Nothing terribly innovative yet but they're making nice beers. Same goes for Intersect that just opened like 10-14 days ago (in Fort Collins). Had a nice raspberry Berliner there, and the space is gorgeous.

    Jesus Christ Black Shirt......

When they aren't busy making a Documentary about how they are the only people to ever put something on the line and take out loans to open a small business they're bitching and moaning about permits (news flash - PERMITS TAKE FOREVER)... bitched and moaned about people not digging their only reds schtick, bitched and moaned about GABF and festivals (even though people love them), literally told people to fuck off on twitter than didn't like their glasses, bitched and moaned about RiNo blowing up (didnt happen overnight guys). And now that their overly "we do things our own way, anti-establishment" attitude has caused them to fall way behind breweries that opened at the same time as them their move is to get into the food biz? Because they can't lay out some cones for food trucks? WHAT COULD GO WRONG?

God BSB, I like your beer but I find you insufferable.

New cans look like crap IMO. Commentor in the article was right they look like the House of Blues branding. They will probably sell much better this way haha.

Exactly! I love label artwork and TRVE's has some of the best. Yet, that doesn't translate to what I call "shelf spotting". BSB's old cans were just black, with small red lettering. Consumers' eyes just go right on by. :slight_frown:
