    That's...what I was thinking.

There's a reason they usually hand out Michelob's, and yes, it's mostly because of advertising, but...ingesting carbs in a lighter format is much more palatable while still catching your breath.

I plan on bringing my magic bullet and some protein powder to make a post-run shake with it.

Went to Treehouse for my first time yesterday..came from Albany, arrived around 11:45 to about 75 in line but it moved FAST, perfect amount of time to meet some new people and hear what some of their favorite TH brews are. "Bright" was my introduction to the brewery, and it is absolutely delicious. Also tried a Julius, I'm going to give it a week or so to let it open up, it's great but it's too green at the moment imo.

Uh.. what's yours? Was adding to the comment that there is, "no pattern. It's usually brewed/released when it gets a little colder out." It had nothing to do with even the weather last year.

Haha, "3 month intervals" kinda sounded like you were trying to establish a pattern. Always tough to interpret posts on a beer forum because beer tends to be involved.

Yeah, it's even worse on facebook groups when you're tipsy and using your actual name. :slight_frown:

I was alluding to what the brewer said about the beer in this recent interview (about halfway down).

To each their own. It's not a marathon in the middle of summer. And it will be 10:30 in the morning.

They're yet to announce the drop today. Late announcements usually mean rarer beers. We'll see if I'm right. Stay tuned! :grinning:

Except the one time I was there on Thursday and they announced Sap at 2:15....but I think the 2 growler limit and 200 cards indicate something good.

200 card and 2 growlers pp, sounds like they might just be short staffed

They also only have 2 options on for fills, and each is a 1-bottle limit. Perhaps they're simply trying to conserve beer for Friday & Saturday visitors?

The problem I have with limiting growler fills is that you must show up obscenely early to get fills. We haven't had a huge growler-only release yet with this new limited slips system, so I don't know yet if it'll be unfair toward the people who work during the day.

200 people regularly show up by 5pm these days, and with something like GM, every single person will be getting that, meaning that if you show up at or after open, you won't get beer. Probably won't get beer even if you show up an hour before open if the limit is 200. As it stands now, you can wait around in line for 3 hours before open and walk out with the same amount of beer as somebody who shows up at open, but this will not be the case for a limited growler release, even if they don't run out of beer.

I hope GM release day limits total bottle fills to 1pp (or 2pp) and up the limit to 1000 slips or something.

That said, such a low limit is probably not the best approach for a growler-only release, and I'm sure Tree House realizes this. I suspect the low limits are due to an expected monster turnout for cans and they want all hands on deck to work the can line.

It's weird they updated the growler limits before announcing what beer is being released today.

Release schedules mean nothing, as one could infer its the 2yr anniversary of GM

Website says "packaging" runs Thurs and Fri. Dont they usually list the runs as "canning"? Perhaps to leave the door open for bottles of Double Shot tonight.
