I was almost directly in line with BA Abraxas and still didn't get it. If the line/quantity is at all similar to last year, I wouldn't go into Snallygaster with any expectation of getting BA Abraxas.

I'm not even going to mess with the BA Abraxas or Cantillon. I've already had CBS. Anything else should be gettable for the first 30 mins, I would think.

Let's make no mistake here. BA Abraxas didn't kick in five minutes because of some ridiculously small quantity; it ran out that fast due to the gross incompetence of the staff. It was supposed to be 4 oz per person. Instead, they were pouring full mugs (and, for some, two full mugs) to the people lucky enough to get it. If they had minimal instruction or basic competency, another 100 people would have gotten some, and it would have lasted 15-20 minutes like CBS. This is one of the many easily preventable fuck ups that kept me from buying a ticket this year.

My friends going tomorrow will be very pissed if this is the case. Happy I didn't waste my time. It seemed to good to be true.

I thought I heard they only had a sixtel last year. Not sure if that was true or not.

In part I passed on Snally because of the past line problems and lack of organization.

I would be interested in hearing how it went today.

I was about 15th-20th in line for CBS and saw no one ahead of me get a full pour, if you mean that to be 12 oz instead of a 4 oz sample.

Pretty smoothly, really- they didn't let anyone through the ticket/ID line until 11:30, so people got in quickly, but gradually, and there was less chaos. Lining up early was an actual advantage. Many people ran, I didn't and ended up about 40th in line at BA Abraxas, no problems there, and eventually got in a really long line for CBS, but got that too. There were lots of other really good things that could be approached at leisure. My only complaint is the expense.

Thought everything went well overall. The only lines I waited in were for Jester King and Aslin. But didn't have to wait long and had a beer or two in hand at all times. Got to try everything I wanted to. Talked to some nice people and drank a lot of good beers. I was on the fence about going this year after two years of rain but glad I did.

Snallygaster went well, though arriving at 11:10 or so was too late to get CBS or BA Abraxas. The organization was great, especially for VIP times. By 3:30 the beer was running low and the food lines were mammoth.
