the shop sets the limit to what they think is fair. if they only want each person to get one then that's what it is. but if they let you get 4 and you only get 1 to be a philanthropist you're foolish.

I am a female who reads and posts in this forum, knows when my local shops get deliveries, and goes to pick up the beer for myself (& my husband, if he's lucky ).

I'll never use a service but since I'm strapped to my desk most of the time so if someone is willing to do me a solid then I'm taking advantage of it.

So tired of the "how much is too much" conversation.

How much? As much as you're able to find.

There are asshole resellers out there, but they are extremely rare to find. Besides that, people who are 'hoarding' rarer releases seem to fall into one of several categories:

-Heavy drinkers (with a lot of money to spend)
-Friendly sharers (who prefer to share a can with a friend who is over)
    -Traders
    -Gift-buyers for friends/relatives/etc

In all cases, I'm struggling to see where the problem lies. Besides resellers, the beer is being purchased for a fair price and consumed by those who hopefully appreciate it. If someone wants to run around all day or pay someone else an insane amount of money to provide them with that much of a rare product, good on them.

As a side note, this perhaps would have given me pause a few years ago. But this city is currently a deluge of seriously outstanding beers, specifically IPAs, and bickering over what's "fair" in purchasing goods at retail price is a bit absurd.

Stopped by WF Bowery on my way to work. Still nothing. The guys said there is something weird going on with Union and he wasn't even sure if they were gonna get it today.

I doubt it will hit Whole Foods today if they havent even gotten Lambo and Pulse yet. A triple can release would be nice though.

Really? They usually keep these in the taproom which doesn't open until noon. What's the limit/price?

About 16 cans left of Lambo. Pulse Wave was only sold to about 5 people it seemed.

Funny seeing the banker crowd lined up and jittery for a beer the way I see fiends uptown looking for that rock.
