I called Union Square WF last week:

Me: Hi, I was wondering if you guys got the new Grimm Cans in?

Him: Let me check. [puts me on hold for a bit] Hi Sir, I checked all the beer shelves and didn't see anything with Grimm on it.

Me: Oh, errr umm you guys usually keep it behind the cheese counter.

Him: Cheese?!

Me: Yeah, behind the cheese counter with other special beers.

Him: Is it a beer or a cheese?

Me: It's a beer.

Him: Oh, ughh I'm looking there now and don't see any Grimm. Sorry man.

Me: Ok, thanks for looking. [hang up & shake head that life has come to this]

Anyone out and about looking for Splish yet?

 

hahaha they have no idea over there. i asked a guy when i was in there on friday. he seemed to kinda know what he was talking about because he did say they get beer deliveries on tuesdays. we'll see what happens tomm.

 

I don't think deliveries started. Nothing on beermenus or any social media posts from shops yet.

Anybody know if westside market 3rd ave got yet? I feel like there will be a second wave of Lambo/Pulse to hit. Few regular spots seem to not of gotten it yet.

 

This was a weird delivery schedule it seems, Carmine Street Beers got theirs earlier than normal. Looks like Westside market 3rd ave should have theirs sometime this week, my guess is Wednesday.

 

@Grimm_Artisanal_Ales as amazing as all these IPA releases are (along with the beautiful sour passionfruit juice that is Present Perfect), is there a timetable yet regarding Apricot Rebus? It was mentioned at the beginning of this month's thread, although I can imagine a beer like that probably tells YOU when it's ready as opposed to vice versa...

 

FWIW a bunch of cans and bottles sat pretty much untouched at Eataly all day. Cans gone now though. Plenty of bottles left.

 

Just cracked my first can of Pulse Wave and it's a malty mess. I'm a huge proponent of equinox and was really excited for this, but I was pretty dissappointed with the beer. I have one more can and I'm hesitant to crack it.

 

Don't believe Equinox is in Pulse Wave fwiw

 

Simcoe and Columbus. I agree that pulse wave is maltier than Lambo though.

 

Just to add on to what @MosaicDrops said, if you read Equinox somewhere, Equinox was in the last batch of cans but was scrapped. This one I think is Simcoe/Columbus?

Also, while I mentioned an oxidized can a few posts up, I've really found off cans to be a huge anomaly with Grimm. Even the can to can (and batch to batch) variance seems considerably less than any of the comparable options in the city.

 

My apologies, it was an oversight on my part. All aside, even after generous time of warming the glass the profile of the beer didn't improve. Still optimistic to the idea of a bad can.

 

I'm in the minority that likes pulse wave more then lambo this batch.

 

From what I've heard, and judging from can limits pulse seems more popular, at least to me. Both fantastic beers though. Can't wait to see how Splish turns out.

 

Popped my bottle of Kinetic Cloud last night. So deliciously juicy and tart.

 

Union sq wf got cans today. Just grabbed a 4 pack of each.

 

Any word on splish?
