is it worth hanging around the tap room for a bit once you receive your bottles and pour? or are we just better off going down to c&c to bottle share until TG does theirs?

There may have been short lines at the start of each session, but they were broken into 5-6 different lines based on last name and with cash only it wasn't a long process. The public session line started within an hour or so of the 2nd session start time, but it wasn't incredibly long with ~30 minutes to go. My wife is going shopping during MD. If the line isn't >50 people at 3, we'll line up, but I think we'll probably end up at C&C since I won't make her wait over an hour or stand at the taproom (picnic tables should help though). The public session is the only line worth worrying about (if good seating and MD matter to you).

I think I'm just getting my bottles and heading out. I doubt the wife will want to hang out in line after driving 8 hours to get there.

Is anyone planning to get together Friday night anywhere? I'm getting into town around 7:30 and would be down to open some bottles. Sorry, if it's already been addressed. Cheers!

Me and a couple of buddies plan on getting there Friday night, and we are definitely looking to open/share some goodies!

Not sure too many care, but the Minnesota Iowa game is at 11am (was TBD, good job losing to NDSU Iowa)
Anyway, I'm in the 1pm group and hope to get to see some of it. I'll probably have to at Pulpit Rock as my kids and wife are coming and the kids didn't get a ticket!
    Anyway, can't wait.

Just got the confirmation email from TG with information for the day. I think everything in it has pretty much been covered in this thread though.

They did say that the Decorah Fire Dept is gonna be serving food. It also mentioned guest taps, but nothing confirmed.

Am I crazy, and/or does that email sound like there may be a second "ticketed" tap guest beer available?

For those that didn't get the email.
Other Tap Beers: We will have a great selection of your favorite TG beers on tap as well as in bottles and/or cans for sale. In the event that ticketed beers (Mornin’ Delight/guest taps) will still available after the event, they will be sold on a cash basis outside in the parking lot for cash only. Purchases made inside the taproom will be cash or credit.

Seems like they are covering themselves if they have something nice. Last year they had a few, but nothing crazy later in the day.
I suppose they could pull out an awesome keg and sell tickets, but I doubt we'll see bottles opened and tickets sold.

For those who went last year - were the guest taps only available after the MD sessions? I'm in the morning session and not sure if I will be able to stick around until 4:00pm.

I'm quite sure the guest taps were for after the event. I was there at 1 and left by 2:30. I had to settle with King Sue... and take bottles of Sosus home!
Dang, missed out on a Surly keg, can't remember what it was, Cocoa Bender maybe.

I'm pretty sure they'll have the full draft lineup up all the "good stuff" during the event. At least that's how the email reads. Sounds like some good draft and bottle options will be there.

    Doesn't that completely contradict this:
In the event that ticketed beers (Mornin’ Delight/guest taps) will still available after the event, they will be sold on a cash basis outside in the parking lot for cash only.

Its difficult because I think they are referring to getting pours of those beers, but they didnt make it 100% clear on that. Thus, could be interpreted as possibly bottles too

Ah...now I read it as taps. Makes sense. Thank you
