Started bingeing Luke Cage yesterday - more compelling than I'd expected - lead actors are solid. Man, Netflix is a monster - from crushing Blockbuster, to producing their own movies, and now these series with all the episodes released at once... awesome...


Came across a couple of bottles of this while out shopping today - thankfully, too, as my two most frequent stops apparently never got any in...

Bottled 8/17, its not quite as fresh as I'd prefer for a new D/IPA, but I'll take it...


Gonna kill some Raiders in Fallout to see if any drop a Lucky Rabbit's Foot...

Taking a break from deck cleaning for a little sustenance. Honoring an old soldier and the bottom of the chip bag by pairing them with Cajun roast beef and swiss.

 

Interesting you say that....i picked up on the same sour scent when initially opening my bottles since the beer hit 6 months old. Technically my bottles are all "in the clear" (even though i still dont trust that...), but they all have smelled bad out of the gate but then settled down and smell and taste great as i consume. It makes me wonder if the bottles "in the clear" just have a slower moving bacteria. Who knows.....

Rooting on my Badgers at Michigan, but things aren't looking too good. Honestly, they've surprised me so far this year, so just hoping they keep this respectable.

Good afternoon, all! With a bunch of games on here that I don't care about, I was working on a couple of drinking games while watching the Ryder Cup and America's Test Kitchen. (1) Chug one whenever Julia or Bridget says "scrape up the brown bits." (2) Chug one whenever a golf announcer says "lots of green to work with." With the ATK chefs making Coq au Riesling and Tuscan-style stew today and the American team missing greens left and right, it's a damn good thing I was playing with virtual beer or I'd be toasted right now. At least this Otter Creek Steampipe is the real deal.

Guinness Foreign Extra Stout (Barbados) with chicken chili on rice, and fruit, including Bajan "green apples" which is largely stone, but the fruit (peeled) tastes like pineapple, pear, apples, sweet and tart - interesting. Told these are used in rum drinks. You can see where this is headed...

 

Tasty stuff, how does it stack up with the BA version? Sweet glass!
