Got some at the tapping, what an awesome beer!!

 

So Doug should have coordinated with you and your schedule?

The barrel aged coconut was AMAZING. It was Oberon with Coconut for anyone wondering. One of the better beers I've had by them. The BA Hazelnut was incredible and just plane old Rarer rocked my socks off.

 

Anything left on tap after last night or all gone? Gonna be up in the area today

 

The coconut stout had kicked before I left. I KNOW that one is done but am unsure about RareR and/or RareR with hazelnut (which, as @dsigmon suggests, was ridiculous).

 

No, I don't expect Doug to coordinate his schedule with mine. All I said was that Cycle could have adjusted the limit further down to 2 per person upon realizing that demand had quickly exceeded supply. They've done this in the past, and it would have been a reasonable move on their part. Anyway, I don't doubt the beer is great. I was able to snag one from a friend. Cheers.

 

For those of you that had them, which of the Cycle anniversary (?) coffee barrel aged beers was the best?

 

Opinions are all over the map on those because it depends on ones coffee preferences...personally I liked The Jamaican and Vietnamese Ones best and did not like The Ethiopian One at all while others I know had the exact opposite opinion

 

Damn...my friend has all 5 and says I can pick one. Don't want the whole set because of the cost but would still like one...just trying to get the best one ha.

 

I liked the Vietnamese and Braizilian ones the best.

 

I'd go Vietnamese personally. We tried them all in one sitting an our share group was split between Vietnamese and JBM being the best.

 

How are the cans of FL Man? I was not impressed with this year's bottles, was wondering if anything changed when they went to canning.

Cycle just now (well, 12:20 pm our time) posted on Instagram that both RareR and RareR with hazelnut are still on tap as they open today.

 

My favorites were Indonesia and Brazil. I thought Indo was the mildest while Braz was the booziest, in a good way.

 

Not good. I know they changed the recipe a little bit, but it's just not a good beer. There is not citrus or floral hop presence, finish is bready, not too bitter but just so so. Plenty of other good beers to spend money on. This isn't one of them. The can design is better if that means anything.

 

That hazelnut Rarer is insane!

 

You could always try a coffee from each region they did and make your decision from there. I'm sure they are all pretty good.

 

Does anyone know if cycle is available in the orlando/Jacksonville area?

 

CCB Still cant make a good DIPA.
