Anybody know of any DC bars/restaurants that would allow small bottle shares?

It's more of an informal thing, but Pizza P Georgetown does one every month with their Monday Night Beer Club-first Monday of every month.

I believe they have had them (maybe just once) in the past at Smoke and Barrel. I want to say someone, BA member, who worked there organized it.

My bottle share group did one at either Black Squirrel or Meridian Pint. I didn't attend, so I don't remember which it was.

Smoke and Barrel hosts the DC Homebrewers Club meetings, which are basically just huge bottle shares with 90% of the bottles being homebrew. Its really a great time.

It should be 100% home brew as we specifically ask members not to bring commercial beer.

That being said, you can bring commercial beer to the regular club meetings at members' homes. I would recommend that anyone that brews in the DC area - or is even just interested in learning - to sign up to get the email invites for the monthly meetings at http://blog.dchomebrewers.com/.

The meeting in early December will be at my place, and we traditionally raid the cellar. Good times.

Churchkey and I assume other NRG establishments have gotten kegs. Churchkey has their session IPA, 18 watt, on tap. I emailed Singlecut to ask about bottles and they said "sometime in the next few months"

Picked it up from Whitey's in AA County this weekend. Cracked one on Sunday night and was disappointed. Not a bad beer, per se, just not anything special. Spices were somewhat mild/muted.

Anyone know if there's distro for Trickery around here or is the brewery release next weekend the only place it gets released?

Last year there was very limited distro up here, but there's no telling if that will happen this year too.

That's the beer I'm waiting for. It's fresh, tastes great, and a fantastic value. I hope it hits this market again.

Yeah it was ridiculously good last year. Fell off a cliff after a week or two though. Cases of it landed at Harris Teeter last year, hoping the same this year.

Just looked at their website, it says arriving 10/17. However when I plugged in a zip code in this area, it said no results. https://lagunitas.com/borning#
Edit: plugged in a DC zip and Maddy's Taproom appeared. So maybe we will see it drop in the next day or two.
