I love the idea and loved the past versions but missed every one of them. Would love to see it back but with that said, I'm bad at being present at things.

Good evening BA, hope everyone had a good Thursday. Happy American Beer day! Looks like the thread is really busy today because of it.

    Daily Reviews:

This was really tasty. Dark Wheat ale, pretty rare style. Aromas and flavors of caramel, brown sugar, wheat, brown bread, toasted biscuit, and nutty malts; with lighter notes of chocolate, pepper, clove, and yeast fruits; with a bit of herbal hops. Light herbal/spicy/roast bitterness on the finish. Medium bodied and soft carbonation. Nice grainy wheat creaminess with light sticky/chalky notes from roast malt/hops. Slightly drying. Very drinkable with really nice malt complexity. Seems to have American wheat yeast, I did get some subtle spicy/fruity notes; but the malt was the main showcase. Really enjoyable. 3.78

This was excellent! Aromas and flavors of big grapefruit, blood orange, lime, pineapple, peach, passion fruit, mango, berries, lemon/orange peel, and light pine; with moderate caramel, toasted biscuit, light nutty malts; and herbal, floral, grassy hop earthiness. Light-moderate pine/citrus peel/rind bitterness and light fruit tartness on the finish. Medium-plus bodied; balanced hop stickiness and bready/grainy malts in the mouthfeel; lightly resinous, but increasingly dry on the finish. Very juicy and vibrant on hop and fruit flavors. Extremely drinkable. Definitely has the English malt profile I remember from 60/90 minute. A bit more malty, but still enough bitterness and dryness. Nice level of tropical notes from whatever the experimental hop was. Really well balanced. Would grab again. 4.1

Outstanding!! Fantastic head retention and dense lacing on the glass. Aromas and flavors of big sour lemon, lime, cranberry, strawberry, green apple, white wine, orange peel, cinnamon, hay, straw, leather, oak, pepper, and musty funk; with some wheat/cracker malts; and a touch of white vinegar/vanilla. Moderately tart/sour with yeast/tannic oak spice on the finish. Medium bodied with balanced acidity, oak tannin, and grainy malt in the mouthfeel. Medium-high carbonation; very crisp and moderately dry. Insanely drinkable and not overly acidic; never puckering at all. This has amazing sour ale complexity across the board; and is very well balanced. Damn. I'd buy this again even at it's usual price. 4.28

BA's, you're all in for a real treat. This is the most famous glass in my family. My "Turkey Mug" / "Pheasant Cup"! It resides at my in-laws where we are celebrating Papa's 61st birthday, and forever is a argumentative piece. Cheers!

Back at the beer of Wrigley, previously. They got some cool new cans. Slowed down the tunes a bit.

Sort of watching TNF. Another uneven matchup and not a game.

Good evening, BAs! Can't say how great it is to hop onto the LNBA for the past few days and see it approaching 10 pages around this time. The virtual bar is much more fun when the crowd's there.
Tonight, Black Cherry Porter. 9.2% ABV, 55 IBU. I love cherries, and I love this porter. The sweet and tangy black cherry works well with the roasty-but-not-bitter porter.

In celebration of just finding out last night that Paisley Park is starting up tours, here's two variations of one of my favorite Prince songs: We Can Funk, originally written in 1983
    The 1986 version, unreleased

The released version, with George Clinton, can be found on the Graffiti Bridge soundtrack, but apparently not on YouTube.

Last version, titled "Oui Can Luv" features Prince performing some beautiful, delicate acoustic work.
