Hearing a lot of positive talk about Contains No Juice. People saying it's the best canned or bottled hoppy beer in northern CA and that's saying a lot these days. I'll have one Friday night so we'll see about that.

It's definitely one of, if not *the* closest I've had to the few "NE style" IPAs I've had that were actually from NE.

Possibly the only one I've thought was better was Haze of our Lives.

Never had any Monkish, but I've heard they also do one of the best west coast jobs of replicating NE style IPAs.

So I managed to get a 4-pack of this stuff the other day. I had a can last night and was very impressed by it. There's a lot of sediment at the bottom of the can so if you want to incorporate it into your beer, you'll have to gently agitate the can after pouring a few ounces into your glass. I'm just really happy I can get beer of this quality without much fuss.

Any chance Haole / CnJ are still around east bay / SF or SJ?

Not sure if people are willing to divulge their honey holes but I'd love to get a 4 pack of each.

The place I got a four pack (limit 1) last Saturday, ISO Beer in SJ, ran out shortly after (of CNJ, not sure about the other one).

On their FB post saying they got it in, they indicated it was already going fast. *Sad face*

I got Haole and CNJ at Craft here in Alameda. (I think it sold out pretty quickly).

Am planning of passing by the brewery in Monterey this upcoming weekend, do they usually have cans or crowlers available? I checked the website, and it looks like every beer has a crowler/growler logo,

    Thanks in advance.

Crowler fills are only from the outside patio draft option.

    Cans are usually plentiful.

I thought Haole punch was really tasty. Just a tropical bomb. I did have some complaints about Contains No Juice, though. While the hop aromas and flavors were very much in line with what I'd hoped for, I found this beer had a strong ethanol burn. Unpleasantly so. I think there's a lot of potential there, though and I'd love to stop by the brewery when passing through.

Coincidentally, I opened a can of CNJ today and experience the same booze factor. I didn't experience that last week.

Looks like they are dropping another double can release tomorrow:

38 Miles - 5.8% American Pale Ale. A collaboration with our friends from Sante Adairius Rustic Ales!

    Peninsula Pilsner - 5.2% German-Style Pils
