Haha, well, being selfish, I hate seeing Born Yesterday, because I will never get to try it... :slight_frown:

I obviously only "liked" for the beer. So sorry for your loss. Cheers to Bogey:slight_frown:

Oldest beer in my cellar, bottle 3-9-13. A little more bitterness has crept in, but still very drinkable. At two years this was fantastic. Cheers!

I bought a case of Anchor California Lager when it was available at the monopoly for the first time around early 2014. It then disappeared but now it's back for order by the six pack so I had to get one. The taste is familiar from when I had it last time around yet unique, I don't think there's another pale lager beer out there which tastes quite like this (that I've tasted anyway). I'm thinking that the Cluster hops have to be responsible for that unique flavor and I really dig it. I also enjoy their Anchor Steam and the herbal taste which the Northern Brewer hops give to the beer, and this beer is similar in that respect. It isn't fruity in the least, but it's really tasty as a medium bodied yet dry lager beer with a good solid bitterness and a nice hop aromatic flavor. They say that they only use pale malt along with Cluster hops, for such a simple recipe it has alot of good flavors I think. I'll be buying another six pack in the near future.

And we get the dry-hopped Anchor on November 4th. I'll get a couple of those!

Ticking off the Low Alcohol Beer style.. I tried my best to find something palatable.. Dry hopped.. I dunno. Sounds decent. It's not. Maybe hops are barely there on the smell, it's just sweet in all the wrong places, and bland where there should be flavor. Note the irony of the glass.

Good afternoon BAs! Just landed in Denver for a work conference and starting to sample some local brews. Thanks to @russpowell for the hydration recommendation.

Spangalang Fortnight in France. Big DIPA aged on French oak spirals for two weeks. Big, dank, & juicy with a nice hit of oak and booziness. A great start.

Meeting up with a buddy who moved here recently, so he hopefully finds me some good brews today! Cheers all.

Yeah I'll likely get a bottle at least since I've yet to have a bad beer from Anchor.

At Binny's South Loop Tasting Room after race packet pick up at McCormick Place for Sunday's Hot Chocolate 5k. It's great to have designated drivers!

Raising this Peche Mortel to @SawDog505 on the tragic loss of his four legged pal Bogey. That's terrible beyond words. May you find comfort in the happy memories of the years you spent together.
