    (old) News:

"You guys like cans. A lot.

...we're pumped to announce we're changing the packaging format for all of our hop forward beers (and recently extended to some other styles too) from 750ml / 25.4oz bottles into 16oz cans!

Batch sizes and case counts will go up as we get our legs under us.

Cans will be available at both breweries, but please note we won't be able to split the cases evenly on the same day as packaging for logistical reasons (so fewer cases available in Boston vs Canton on day of packaging). Thanks on behalf of the whole trillium team for your support to help us achieve this incredible milestone."

First two can releases in June (end of the month) were Congress Street and Melcher Street. Cans come in four packs but you can buy individual cans, if you like. Yes, the date is on the bottom.

    Finally:

Did not get their Thanksgiving Week schedule but I'm assuming they are closed on Thursday, November 24th for Thanksgiving Day. Please check the links at the top of this post, later this month, for confirmation of their hours and closings for that week. Cheers.

Hey guys, I've been maintaining a spreadsheet for all Trillium can release information, including sell out times, hours/days available, and other notes. I know availability is a frequent topic here, especially for travelers and newbies, so I've made the google doc viewable by the below link. (Let me know if people have trouble accessing it)

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1mmBOt3Bia-mo5gef5A7nENRkFSBx7NCVaSXbH9RYJ78/edit?usp=sharing

All sell out information is from Trillium's social media, unless noted. There have been rare occasions where they didn't post sell out times for a few beers, in which case I guessed hours.

Feel free to add this to next month's first post if people find this helpful.

DDHFPPA today! The best beer they make IMO.

FWIW, I drank one of my Never & Again cans last night - they've settled down a lot, and a friend I shared with cracked his last one over the weekend and said it was, and I quote, "fantastic."

A misfire perhaps, but not the unmitigated disaster many of us feared?

This batch of UPPER CASE doesn't seem quite right...is it me or do they have trouble with consistency on this beer? Batch 1 was fine, batch 2 unreal. batch 3(first from canton) was definitely not there, batch 4 was perfect. I may have missed a batch somewhere, but I think this is only the 5th release. The beer is always awesome, but there's been two very distinct times where I thought i was drinking the best double ipa by Trillium.

The beer is definitely green, but I don't know if that's what's causing it this time... will sit on my other cans.

Trillium cans have been lacking quality control IMO.

It seems to me that whenever they change their sizes on batches, there is a batch that is a bit off. I think with the recent bump up to the 75 barrel batches (I think that is right since they were at 60?) they are back into that learning curve that we experienced when they first went to Canton. Hopefully they get that ironed out on the second time through (as has seemed to be the case in the past).

Tastes the same as it ever did to me, perhaps a little less boozy than the first couple batches, but that's probably just me.

I think it's normal to see some variance in flavor profile from batch to batch, especially with smaller breweries. This isn't Budweiser. I don't mind as long as it's not a huge deviation. I haven't seen that with Trillium personally.

I'm not always sold on Trillium's sours but Wild Sinister Kid with currants was a pleasure to sip through game 7 last night. Tart but deep and rich too..very complex and not just a sour patch kid. The sweetness is dark fruits and caramel, as opposed to just sugar. The currants come through very nicely. Really really good stuff. Kept making me think if like Indian pudding or something. Cloves, fig, caramel, apple cider.

In my opinion far and away better than any of the soaks I've had, and even better than their lauded stuff like Apricot Stonington.

I've only had 1 bottle of Upper Case prior to the can release, and I noticed the bottle I had was the only hoppy beer from Trillium that wasn't full on cloudy. I grabbed a 4 pack of cans on Tuesday and drank one that night, and noticed that it was cloudy and felt a bit juicier than the less cloudy bottle I had earlier this year. It tasted the same, just a little smoother and easier on the palate for 9%. Like sweet mango nectar.

    From the Trillium e-mail list...
I really liked Trillikini, so interested to try this one. Didn't see a batch size or limits though, but maybe they'll post that on social media soon...?

When's the last time they made Trillium? I haven't had any for a long while, not sure if I've just missed it or they haven't made it for a while.

Do we think Trillium FP will be crazy on Monday to pick up Board Shorts?
