    Nice.

And there are lots of interesting beers on that list. Not often that I appreciate lists like these but I like this one.

We're working on it. We started off not sure if we'd keep going with it, next thing you know, we're 15 shows deep with a beginners setup. We'll get Javi up to speed with his beer knowledge, he has that IT factor that can't be denied.

So, it's been, what, seven weeks since the last canning? Any news/rumors on the next one?

i have a feeling the development of the new location may be slowing them down as far as production goes.

New location progress, recovering from so many summer time conventions/conferences/events and the like is probably the bigger slow down to their bottles and can releases.

But hey, they did brew something with Noble just this week. :grinning:

Bump ... Stopping in tomorrow for a beer before we go to Cafe Birdie / Good Housekeeping for a friends bday dinner ... Anything I NEED to try that is on, or just stick with whatever IPA is on?

"Whatever IPA is on" is generally pretty safe with HPB, but I thought the Hello, LA batch I tried last night on draft unfortunately had some diacetyl and/or DO issues with a kind of butteriness that didn't do it any favors.

Slow Internet, on the other hand, a new 6.2% ABV IPA with Citra hops and Lemongrass, was absolutely fucken bangin'. Could drink the hell out of that stuff.

There's also a great, diverse lineup on right now with lots of other old favorites (which I didn't get to try in their current incarnations when I was there last night), like Throwback (old school Pale Ale), Timbo Pils (hoppy-as-hell Pilsner, basically an IPA/IPL kind of thing, fantastic), Coco Noche (coconut Imperial Stout), and Nebraska (non-funky Saison).

And don't be ashamed if you're drawn to that ++Good Citra bottle from Cellador Ales sitting in the beer fridge. Dry-hopped tart saison, oak-fermented. Fucken tasty!

I had the same issue with Bonkers from the growler about a month ago.

This weekend, Slow Internet and Timbo was drinking fantastic. Coco Noche seems to be fading a little.

This is the only context where I will ever say this but, yeah, I love the slow internet! Thankfully I tasted zero lemongrass, er, maybe just the tiniest tiniest hint in the finish. And yeah, Timbo Pils.

Those were my two tonight plus an incredibly fortunate taste of Like Whoa (amazing) and Brett Loves Simcoe (mmm, just ok) from some bottle/can sharers.

I didn't really get much lemongrass either, but I can't remember the last time I had an IPA and said to myself, "Man, this could use just a touch more lemongrass and it would be the ride!"

That said, if lemongrass is the secret ingredient that makes hop flavors and aromatics explode in HD graphics with 3D color, and makes time lose all meaning... BRING ON THE LEMONGRASS IPA'S, PLZ!

Bless HPB for being one of the few breweries open today. Now to wait for that long march to 2 p.m.

Yeah, not sure how much lemongrass was added, but what it seemed to do was bring out an almost Nelson hop quality in the flavor to me.

Also, there should be a couple more nice releases (between bottles, draft, and perhaps cans) before the end of the year. Hope everyone is ready to Party.

A release has come upon us.

Our Lot - Our Lot is a stronger, more assertive saison made with spelt, a historic type of wheat cultivated since around 5000 BC. We used mostly our house cultures (brettanomyces, lactobacillus, and Pediococcus) and a little bit of saison yeast. Ultimately, the brett took over. Huge fruit driven brett character with big apricot, cantaloupe, strawberries and cream, peach, and plum flavors and aromas. Big textures on this beer too with a nice fruit skin tannin and a pronounced grapefruit pith bitterness. Enjoy! 7.8% abv

275 bottle release. $11 per bottle

Barrel-Aged Gloom - BA Gloom is a Belgian style dark strong ale aged for 10 months in a whiskey barrel with multiple strains of brettanomyces, pediococcus, and lactobacillus. The rich dark fruits notes of red grapes, currants, and sour cherry work together with the leather, tobacco, and cocoa qualities from the barrel. A lush body and bright acidity make for one of the most complex beers we have made. Enjoy the Gloom!

275 bottle release, $14 per bottle

    Tiny tiny release.

Just to make sure all hearts are sufficiently broken, the fine print: "All of these details are for Beer Friends only and these bottles will only be available online to Beer Friends due to the limited quantities. If any bottles are left over they will be sold on a first come first serve basis at our next can sale."

Haven't had BA Gloom, but I liked Our Lot on draft, but out of bottle it was even better, bitterness toned down, tartness upped a touch. Really fantastic beer.
